President Donald J. Trump went into the Libertarian Den and came out alive:

    Bing Videos

    Enjoy the video.

It was an historic event. Trump is the first president to address the Libertarian Convention.

Trump asked for the Libertarians to nominate him for president. If not nominated, he asked for Libertarians to vote for him in the presidential election rather than having their 3% of the total vote go to waste again.

Trump said he will appoint a Libertarian to his cabinet and the White House doors will always be open to Libertarians.

The thrust of the message is Joe Biden is destroying the country and is a threat to democracy. Libertarians should join with him to stop Joe Biden.

It was fun to watch Trump handle the Libertarian heat in a professional way and with his sense of humor intact. However, it wasn't as fun as watching a Trump rally. Many of these folks booed him when he first came out to the podium.

Everything Trump does is historic. Just ask him. To hear Trump speak, this Libertarian Convention was the largest in the history of Libertarianism. Just ask him.

I was going to say Trump has bigger balls than brains, but we know from Stormy Daniels that isn't true.

The Libertarians would be well served to be reminded of what candidate Trump said about the LGBTQ community:

Here's the reception Dictator for a Day Trump received at the convention. Notice he started insulting them..."in a professional way." (LOL at that characterization)

The Trump campaign tried to astroturf this event like all his others by getting his cult members up front and crowding out the libertarians. They didn't stand for it. Then they booed him relentlessly through his crap speech forcing him to try a heel turn at the end to save face.

This is what would happen at every speech of his without his paid attendees and kool-aid drinkers there. He's full of narcissistic rage today I'm sure and whoever set up this appearance will likely be fired.

As someone who trends libertarian myself, this was refreshing to see and I totally believe him. Perspectives change when the system you once played like a violin turns its guns on you with outright lies, deceit, slander and false criminal charges. All due to his politics, nothing more. I imagine President Trump does have quite a different view of our "system" than he did in the 1980's and 1990's when he could do pretty much anything he wanted. That is okay by me, however. You live, you learn and people grow, even at an older age. The incredible part is he could have walked away from it at any time, but instead, he's fighting the very system he once enjoyed the comforts of so freely.

He's incapable of any growth. That was the excuse people used in 2016, "he'll grow into the job." All you have to do is listen to the accounts of the 40-something high ranking administration officials who will tell you that didn't and will never happen.

You didn't watch the video and you have reading comprehension problems. That's a bad combination. From post #1:

It was fun to watch Trump handle the Libertarian heat in a professional way and with his sense of humor intact. However, it wasn't as fun as watching a Trump rally. Many of these folks booed him when he first came out to the podium.

LOL! Trump is going to get a lot of Libertarian votes after last night. What is great, like the Trump Bronx rally, it is also generating publicity both good and bad, bad from the lame stream media of your persuasion with the booed mercilessly lie, which is a repeat of what happened in 2016. Trump was a laugher all the way to the White House and the lame stream media helped him. Yay lame stream media.

What is this point of this? Are people trying to convince themselves or others?

You're intentionally ignoring when he was booed during his speech. Not before. Why are you ignoring it?

With comments like this, you just prove the best you can do is deliver messages that have no basis in reality or are democratic talking points regurgitated. Your comments aren't close to what happened at the Libertarian convention last night.

Love the questions from no input folks. Trump had no problem delivering his remarks. It's a lie of the lame stream media that he was booed mercilessly.

Inference here, but I think he was questioning the purpose of telling lies to people who obviously aren't going to believe them.

    A reasonable query, IMO.
