(SB) Discussion Thread - NCAA Regionals & Supers - Except Gator Games

Looked to me like the UT fielder had the inside of her foot on top of the homeplate edge of the bag. (Unintentionally, I'd guess.) The Ta&m batter's stride resulted in her left foot reaching for the homeplate edge of first base, closer to the 2nd-base side than to the foul-line side (very near the fielder's ankle). It didn't appear to me the runner made any effort to avoid the fielder's foot.

In my opinion, UT was lucky that their fielder wasn't called for obstruction.

 

WOW. LSU came out on fire vs Stanford. They scored 3 runs in the top of the 1st inning and another 3 in the top of the 5th inning all against canady. Reagan came into to pitch and gave up a grandslam. It's now 11-1 with LSU still batting.

 

Wow indeed. Canady must have hit some kind of wall this postseason.

 

She was beyond brilliant last postseason.

 

UCLA punches the second ticket to the WCWS. I hope we can punch ours tomorrow

 

Starting to really dislike the Aggies team attitude. All I keep hearing about is the great job the HC is doing yet all I see is a hot head asst coach that over reacts. He got the boot in Gainesville too and before that he could not resist chattering with the fans to get things stirred up. I also saw an Aggie player, after a hit by pitch and a stare down that would have ejected a florida baseball pitcher for a week. Show the crowd some love that is the equivalent of the bird with a big F you added. That coach imo is bad jiuju for team atmosphere

 

Am I the only one that thinks slapping has come and gone? At the very least, nobody should slap with runners on, right?

 

That attitude all comes from Trisha Ford. I've heard her on podcasts and stuff and she creates it.

 

I wonder if she's 100%. In one of their regional games she looked to tweak her hip midpitch... stride was definetley off nobody came to check her out and she seemed to move different the rest of the game. Belive it was the 7th inning.

 

I would think the batter should try a different approach since they have been in a slump with the slapping approach

 

Why did Missouri not challenge that? I think she got part of her hair with her glove. Does the hair not count as part of the body?

 

Hair definitely does not count...in Volleyball.

Would think it would count on a hbp. All the accessories they wear to the plate count. If that is true, it should count on the tag as well.

 

I know UF got a HBP yesterday when the end tip of the elbow shield got nicked
