The contract floating around the internet doesn’t have to go in front of a judge. We’re told that no contract was submitted with the court filing. We have no idea what will or won’t be presented in court.

It’s not pleading, yet lots of people do that too rather than take their chances with a jury.

Not many people who actually have money will risk a lot when a little can make the whole thing go away quietly. Again, these guys don’t want to go through discovery. You’ll make all kinds of very private things, totally unrelated to this case, very public. You don’t want to put things in a jury’s hands if it can be avoided with little pain.

How are things working out for Johnny Depp and Amber Heard? Both those idiots are essentially blackballed because they couldn’t work things out behind closed doors and decided to air all their dirty laundry in public. You think Billy, Hathcock, and Co are going to subject themselves to something like that?

I’m sure they don’t plan on showing up with oral testimony as their only evidence or we wouldn’t be where we are right now.
Most of us probably think our side changed our minds when we figured out what was really going on. I don’t see a problem with that if that’s what happened. The kid tried to play too many sides and everyone involved told him to take a hike is what it looks like.

Some people like their money more than their personal reputation, this is true.

That doesn’t mean the contract we’re looking at is the contract that would be discussed in court. Could look very similar, but have different numbers. Could be something all together different, or nothing at all. If the contract was never executed, I’m not sure how relevant it would be to the case anyway. They’re not suing the collective for breach. They’re suing third parties for interference.

What I think happened is Billy got wind of the dollar amount and started screaming shut it down to anyone who would listen, and I don’t blame him. Unfortunately that means he could actually be liable for what he’s being sued for, tortious interference. It wasn’t his deal, and he shouldn’t have been involved in it. Can they prove that happened though?

You don’t seem to grasp how much more damage can be done to your reputation by not figuring things out behind closed doors.

Johnny dep and his dipshit girlfriend were only exposed for who they were. Nothing got revealed that wasn’t true. Some people are just good people and aren’t going to take it in the booster to save money.

Seems plausible and a dumb law if that’s illegal.

To some degree. We understand a certain extent but it’s better to hide if your laundry list is inexcusable. When you settle, that leads people to believe you’re either guilty or have more to hide. I’d plead to something like a speeding ticket but there’s many things I’d never bow to for any amount of money. Paying this dipshit might be something I’d fight on principle.

I would argue Depp was un blackballed as a result of shining a light on what the relationship was like. Depp was guilty until proven innocent in the court of public opinion.

I disagree. If I want to sell my house to someone, have numbers worked out, and a handhake deal in place, then my neighbor comes in at the last second and blows up my deal because he doesn’t want new neighbors, he should be liable for my damages.

This situation is a little different because the guy who possibly blew this deal up really should have some say in the deal. Problem is the law says he doesn’t.

This is why the boise state coach is going to be getting sued for the same thing, the first time he steps in to block a third party NIL deal with one of his freshmen he’s personally declared are not eligible to receive NIL money.

And, I agree, that's probably why this thing was filed. UF doesn't like this out there and will probably encourage everyone to settle. Otherwise, being filed in federal court, it would drag on for years. I don't see anyone wanting this stupid story out there for even a few months. Interesting, too, how outsiders think BN will be fired! I don't see that happening, unless it came out that Rashada's claims were true!

The contract with UF NIL isn’t apart of the suit. The suit is for fraud causing him to loose the Miami contract. Keep in mind, the NIL he was supposedly defrauded from, even though he declined it in prusuit of a larger offer, legally could not stipulate he had to attend the university of Miami.

Bad analogy. The neighbor has the same house and offered his at 20% less. The perspective buyer then decided to buy that house and declined yours. After that the neighbor said, nah i changed my mind and nothing is signed. Meanwhile you sold your house to someone else. In this analogy you are Miami and the buyer is Rashada.

There is a reason Miami isn't suing, because this stuff happens all the time in recruiting and they would be just as guilty as the neighbor. Rashada has to prove in court that the neighbor never intended to sell the house. Short of outright recorded/written conversations, how do you do that?

I understood they’re being sued over both deals. No contracts with either GC or Ruiz (lifewallet) are part of the suit, yet. He’s suing for negotiating in bad faith. Offering him enough to walk away from his lifewallet deal with no intention of ever actually giving him that money. Also tortious interference, probably for third parties blowing up both of his deals, but definitely for blowing up the GC deal. I do not believe the former to be true, unless they got wind that the 9.5 numbers were fabricated, but that would mean the Rashada camp was negotiating in bad faith. The latter, I could see being plausible.

He definitely looked ten times better than her and nothing to be too terribly embarrassed about. Good for him that he didn’t just pay her off to make her go away.

Trouble is, the truth is illegal any way you slice it. Kids aren’t allowed to get paid to play and they obviously are.

He gained your respect, but both of them have lost millions in work for something that likely could have been handled behind closed doors.
