Good grief. Yes, painting with a broad brush is not a good thing, even when it's done with the attempted humor of this thread. It just about throwing crap at the other side rather than real conversation.

Trump was the first president since Andrew Johnson who had no pets at all. Although unrelated Johnson was also the first president to be impeached and very narrowly avoided conviction by the Senate and removal from office.

I know you're half joking, but I believe this is a logical fallacy and can't remember what it's called? How about this: People who hate dogs are probably bad people and should be viewed with great suspicion; however, the fact that someone likes dogs doesn't necessarily mean they're a good person!?

Yeah … I agree. And dogs are the best. Better than the vast majority of humans. I’ve had big dogs and small… medium as well. They are loyal, smart, loving companions. Last time I cried as an adult was when I had to put one of old boys down.

 

My little pug is expecting, so I called her a mother pugger.
