(SB) Discussion Thread - NCAA Regionals & Supers - Except Gator Games

I don’t know anything about the matchup with Baylor, but clearly on paper this series favors Florida. One fun fact is that Baylor swept UCF while scoring four total runs in the three game series.

 

Ever since I heard the Fagan sisters coach for Liberty, I started rooting for UGA.

Two Upsets Based on Seeding Only:

Georgia over UCLA if the poodle bats show up and the pitchers don't break down. I have thought all season that Georgia is really good when both hitting and pitching shows up.

Duke over Missouri. I called out the selection committee then and now, Duke should have been a top 8 seed. The Blue Devils will be on a mission in Columbia to prove just that. I think I'd have liked Missouri's chances better as the underdog at Duke.

I don't like Stanford so I will be rooting for LSU, just don't see it happening on the Cardinal home field. LSU likely takes a game, but not the super regional.

 

While I think Okla is vulnerable....FSU just doesn't seem to have the pitching to take 2 of 3 in Norman. I would be shocked if FSU emerges

 

I picked them more jsut because I really dislike OU. But the thing is OU has had a hard time getting going some games and FSU has the offense to compete. Also they know Maxwell very well with the amount of times they have played each other the last few years when she was at OSU. And they have never had an issue hitting her.

That move, removing both sisters from the team before the the 2012 Gainesville Regional (although I did not agree with it at the time) may have been the best move for team chemistry that still exists in this program today. Kudos to CTW!
