Ongoing UF Softball Commentary

This is so frustrating after only having 1 game on tv this weekend. 11am on Friday when literally everyone else is 2 or later. Mizzou and Duke is the next earliest. Some people have to work. And 10am start on Saturday... so dumb. Guess maybe to avoid weather? We're the number 4 seed being treated like a 16.

 

Whoever scheduled that is a colossal jackass. Talk about minimizing crowd. Also for the working folks, it could be potentially mean only being able to see one game.

 

I'm happy they put the Friday game early. Should be able to get it in before the lacrosse match

 

They raved about UF....it just wasn't tbe lead because it wasn't competitive. Basically stated uf is the best hitting team out there because they hit for power and average, plus have great speed

 

Yea I watch rally cap every week and they cover all teams fairly. The Bama thing was a huge story because of how their season has been.

Baylor is a team with two good pitchers, one excellent hitter batting .451, and 4 hitters batting between .289 and .333.

The Bears hit 31 homers with their top two hitters having 10 each. I'd think this is a pass the bat station to station type of team scoring 3.73 runs per game.

Baylor lost 3 at Kansas in the middle of their Big 12 season. Other than that, the Bears have been shown to be a competitive team that is good but not national caliber.

Baylor was ranked at 22 in the USA Today Coaches Poll but was not in the top 25 of the other rankings. Their last KPI was 27.

Can this Baylor team beat UF? Yes. However, if the Gators we've been watching for the last 3 weeks shows up, no way. I predict the Gators of late shows up to put a 2-game sweep on the Bears.

 

I wonder if all the empty seats behind home plate and in the camera view all game may have played a part.

 

Probably because everyone was at work last Friday jsut like they will be this Friday.

 

Solution is easy,win 2 games and on in prime time the rest of the way.

Stat wise, I'm ok with those selections. However, with that being said, Skylar is the best hitter in college softball today and probably the most feared by opposing pitchers.

No way she shouldn't have won last year. Really hope Canady wins. If Atwood wins it's a slap in the face to Skylar who had a much better year last year than what Atwood has this year.

 

At least it isn't Mendes. I gave up on her and went to radio. I call her the "breathless whisperer". Just aggravating voice and if that isn't bad enough, her expertise wasn't anything to write home about.

 

Much better than the 2 announcers who played for Tennessee and Texas A&M. At least Erin Miller having played at OU doesn't have an axe to continually grind on the Gators.

 

I like that idea!

 

I actually liked Mendes, she is a newer announcer but I personally liked her. Erin Miller was incredibly annoying during the USC series and I am not looking forward to hearing her again.
