Biden's anti-Israel views have historically been out of line with the American people and the US government until now when he is the executive in charge:

This isn’t the first time that Joe Biden has threatened to cut off U.S. weapons to Israel (“Biden Slaps an Arms Embargo on Israel,” Review & Outlook, May 9). Forty-two years ago, as a senator, he threatened then-Prime Minister Menachem Begin with an aid cutoff. Begin’s epic reply, including the line, “I am not a Jew with trembling knees,” should have made clear to Mr. Biden that Israel will defend itself with or without America’s help.

Once again, however, Mr. Biden is threatening Israel, this time amid a war for the country’s survival against a savage terrorist foe. It’s possible he is pandering for votes in his party’s pro-Hamas wing. It’s also possible that he is being fed pro-Hamas misinformation by the anti-Israel apparatchiks in his administration. It must also be noted that Hamas is a proxy of Iran, and Mr. Biden’s craven appeasement of Iran may include rescuing its proxy from destruction.

It’s a story Joe Biden has loved recounting over the decades: A chain-smoking Golda Meir welcoming the 30-year-old senator to Israel on his first visit in 1973 and giving him a grandmotherly hug before schooling him on the Six-Day War and the dangers still faced by Israel.

A classified Israeli government memo, though, paints a less anodyne version of Biden’s meeting with the Israeli prime minister that day, reporting that the young senator privately “displayed an enthusiasm” that “signaled his lack of diplomatic experience” as he laid out his concerns over land seized in the West Bank and Gaza Strip by Israel years earlier. The document was published last year by Israel’s Channel 13.

For Biden it was the start of a familiar dynamic. Over his nearly 50 years in national politics, he has often reserved his toughest messages for Israeli leaders for private talks while publicly burnishing his image as an unwavering supporter of Israel.

In 1982, Washington was the setting when Biden was among a group of U.S. lawmakers who had a tense meeting with Israeli Prime Minister Menachem Begin. Biden reportedly pressed Begin to halt the building of Jewish settlements in the West Bank, while some of his colleagues were critical of other aspects of Israel’s policies.

″I think it is fair to say that in my eight years in Washington I’ve never seen such an angry session with a foreign head of state,″ Sen. Paul Tsongas, a Massachusetts Democrat, told reporters after the meeting.

Attorney General Merrick Garland could be held in contempt over withholding audio tapes subpoenaed by members of Congress. The recording stems from the Justice Department’s classified documents investigation into Joe Biden's mishandling of classified materials. The report filed by Special Counsel Robert Hur didn’t bring charges against the president because his old age and poor memory were mitigating circumstances in court. These observations are within department policy—Hur had to inform his bosses of all the obstacles the DOJ could encounter in such a scenario. The Left went nuts over the memory part.

Forget that CNN legal analysts cut through the nonsense and said Biden knew he had classified materials, retained them, and misled the public about them; the president’s lawyer attested to Mr. Biden's mental tenacity. Fine—let’s play the tapes.

Now, we have Merrick Garland speaking with the press after the decision was made by Biden to assert executive privilege over the recordings. The Justice Department recommended he do so because some subpoenas can be ignored. In essence, Garland said that the DOJ is so essential that it can ignore such requests it doesn’t like. He noted the attacks on the DOJ, specifically the allegations of political partisanship. Mr. Garland, you just offered evidence to such allegations, stamped with the seal of the attorney general of the United States.

For our anti-Israel folks here, no need to be concerned. Antisemite Chuck Shumer won't allow the bill to come to the floor and antisemite Joe Biden has already threatened to veto if it makes it to his desk.

The U.S. House of Representatives voted 224 to 187 to pass a bill that would force President Joe Biden to send weapons to Israel as the administration has been undermining the Jewish state by withholding certain weapons as they fight Hamas. Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu has refused to bend the knee and fight in the Hamas-controlled city of Rafah in the manner Biden demands, despite the president's continued threats.

The measure does send a message, but unfortunately, it has no teeth. Biden will likely continue undermining Israel unless he decides he'll get more votes by supporting them. What's wrong or right doesn't seem to affect his political calculus.

Senior US officials held indirect talks with Iran this week in Oman regarding the potential for escalation in the Middle East following last month’s hostilities between the Islamic Republic and Israel.

According to a Friday Axios report, the Biden administration sent White House Middle East envoy Brett McGurk and acting special envoy on Iran Abram Paley for the first indirect talks held between the two countries since January.

An Israeli government official confirmed the report to The Times of Israel and added that McGurk was also in Saudi Arabia this week.

These have been secret talks with the enemy of Israel and the nation that calls for the destruction of the Great Satan, the United States.
