It’s just a likely landing spot. I don’t know if I hate it though. Go somewhere we have the opportunity to ruin a rival’s season. I’ll take any extra motivation we can get.
One thing I heard during the game was that Kurland's triple was only the fourth triple of the season. @WESGATORS will have something to say about that, I am sure.
Its looking like Carolina, Vandy, Florida, LSU, and possibly Bama will all have a 13-17 SEC record heading to the SECT. One of them will play Georgia on Tuesday and the others play each other. Could the selection committee think these are must win games? I agree the Gators #1 SOS should matter most but the other teams have 5-7 more wins. Again only 38% of teams with 13 SEC wins have made it in from the past. I want to feel sure about today's win but did we consider possibly 5 SEC teams all tied up at 13-17 going into the tourney? I do think Bama has to win tonight and on Tuesday more than any of the other 4 teams. 6 SEC teams are in and possibly only 3 more will get in. Whoever loses on Tuesday might still be on the bubble.
LSU played a weak OOC schedule and lost 2 of 3 to Florida at home. If LSU gets in and Florida doesn't it means that the smell of corndogs matters a lot.
