No. I’m not unforgiving, it’s the locker room at stake here. A big part of how Billy pulled this team together was getting rid of characters like Nunnery. That blogger even referred to ‘getting rid of the shitheads’. The bullshit/benefit ratio is way too high

 

I’m a no-go if it was up to me. What does bringing him back after that say about us and what does it do to him. Every action has a reaction. Every choice has a consequence. Life is full of choices and it takes bitter experiences to learn how to navigate circumstances. If he comes back to the team, he will not have learned anything except acting like that and saying sorry worked to his advantage and now he can further test that line of no return.

People are assuming the kid hasn't or isn't suffering some consequences and terms if he is allowed back on the team. I'd agree with everyone if this was like a Bowden/fsu type situation where Bowden made light of repeated offenses ala "different rules for my foreign players" or "boys will be boys" remarks. It's an assumption on my part but if the rumor is true that he took a team vote in order to accept McLain as a transfer then why wouldn't Napier do something similar with Nunnery?

It's an assumption but I don't believe Napier isn't using these situation as teaching moments

I hope he decides to come back and then apologizes to Gator Nation for his unkind words... then all is forgiven.

 

This is the 2nd time he has indicated he was transferring only to turn around and try to return. Time to move on.

I’m sure he is but at some point you’ve burnt the bridge. Calling out a coach like that about does it.

I had heard it implied that he was not a great "culture fit" if you get my drift. I think it is pretty clear after 2 portal entrees and his farewell statement that he doesn't want to be here, but perhaps found out it would be in his financial interests to be at UF. IMO, let the young LB's get the reps.

 

Or... he's very bad at asking the NIL for a raise?


AKA, I would not blame him solely for the 4th and 17 yard first down play against Missouri.

 

Pretty hard pass for me. You can’t diss on your coach. Coach hasn’t forgotten, I’m sure. More playing time for the young guys.
