I seem to recall some not so mature comments on his way out, but surely it was just his tweeter getting hacked

 

Things apparently got pretty ugly with nasty words posted when he left. And he apparently wasn’t great at his position either. Having a hard time getting excited about his return - especially with only one year left.

If you can get him for a low NIL deal as a PWO I say okay, as he is a good special teams player that understands our system. That said, he was ugly on the way out and may not be welcome any longer. Lot of teams don’t want a one year rental in portal unless you can start. Lot of kids without deals presently in the portal.

 

Eh, as with most internal issues I'll trust the coaches to handle it appropriately.

 

Give the kid a break. He hasn't done anything anywhere near the crap I(and probably half the posters on this board) pulled when I was that age. Emotions run high when your young and it's way to easy to say or post something you regret. I started a thread a while ago about the fact that He had not shown up in the 247 or ON3 portal so this may have been brewing for awhile.

 

I never did anything like that because there was no videos in the 80s and 90s. Man, I am soooo lucky.

I never tore into/ demeaned my manager in a public forum nor called them names and crapped on them after I resigned or gave a two week notice at any age and then turned around and asked for my job back at any age. That is basically what he did.

I agree he didn’t get in trouble off the field or anything similar that I have heard of. Up to the coaches really.

 

Nunnery is athletic and has popped on film in a few plays here and there. He just seems to be inconsistent up to now.

Its unfortunate he went off about the Missouri play and I thought it strange to tweet about it when most people had pretty much moved on from that game. Odd thing is, I think he was in the correct position with sufficient depth while watching for possibility for the underneath crosser. It was the secondary that seemed to be in observe mode rather than breaking on the route or ball. But, that's just me.

While the tweet wasn't good, hopefully its a good lesson to never burn bridges unnecessarily and it's not like he got in trouble with the law. I trust if he does come back, BN will handle it appropriately with the team to maintain the locker room.

He’s a kid that made a poor decision and publicly showed his ass. I wouldn’t write him off but also wouldn’t necessarily welcome him back with open arms. Tough lesson for him but I think he is salvageable in some capacity.

 

I bet he's suffered from his post, and will continue to do so. Time to shut up and put up.

 

UF has taken a public stance on some of that language being used by football players. How can they step back from that now?
