Would love to win tomorrow, as that would assure us of an NCAA tournament more than likely but… Now I feel like if we just win one in the SEC tournament we will be a three seed in the Tallahassee regional. Win tomorrow would absolutely be gravy at this point and don’t get me wrong. I would love to see us win tomorrow too make it more certain that we get in, but, with this schedule and a 500 record I think it would be hard to keep us out.
If we lose tomorrow we are 27-27.....winning game 1 in Hoover isn't enough, could lose the next 2 in double elimination and be 28-29. Win tomorrow, or get rained out and you go to Hoover 1 or 2 games over 500 and "should" be in good shape. Lose tomorrow and you have to win game 1 and more in hoover
Neely was outstanding today; that 6th inning could have been much uglier. The (backup) catcher was up 3-0, and that last fastball he took looked dangerous...he didn't even think about going for it. 2 big comeback strikeouts to get out of a major jam. Finished: 73 pitches (4.2 IP), 1 ER (1.93 ERA), 2 H, 0 BB, 0 HBP (0.43 WHIP), .125 BAA. Definitely his best relief outing of the year. Really great job by Brandon! Go GATORS! ,WESGATORS
If I have this all figured out if we win tomorrow we can lose the first game at Hoover and have an over 0.500 record. If we win tomorrow and win the first game at Hoover and then lose two we are still one game over 0.500. If tomorrow's game gets rained out and we lose the first game at Hoover we are at 0.500 and not eligible. If tomorrow gets rained out and we win the first game at Hoover and then lose the next two we are at 0.500 and not eligible. Gotta hope for good weather tomorrow and a Gator victory or it will be really difficult to make a Regional.
It looks like it's going to be hard to get that game in Saturday. Rain supposed to start later tonight and go until late tomorrow night. Maybe something will chaneg overnight.
