This is your tax dollars at work. How about we elect serious people who want to do serious work even if they have policy differences? Marge with insults, Boebert with nonsense, the entire farce of of the House Oversight Committee. They want to break it, not fix it. It makes a good show however. Marge: Your fake eyelashes are messing up your brain... Crocket: Point of order, is it ok to say someone is a bleach blonde bad built butch body... Comer: What? What did she say? Jamie: [Grins incredulously] Or maybe Boebert talking about how pretty Trump is sleeping if he isnt praying... or Moskowitz dramatic reading of Comers campaign email while on a bogus Biden investigation...
They don't give a rip about actual governance. Just monkeys swinging from the rafters, screeching at each other and slinging shit. Good times.
FINALLY we’re getting a little bit of the excitement we’re paying for. I’d like to see us advance to Taiwan levels with shoe fights.
I don't blame representative Crocket for feeling like she needed to respond, and that was a decent burn, but she just plays into MTG's hands by moving down to that level. MTG and the movement she represents seeks to delegitimize the role of governance. This only furthers that goal
Then again, I think about it further, mockery can be a strong political message and it was only used one-sidedly for so long. Who knows?
I often think about the behavior of many "adults" and "leaders" when people gripe about how immature today's young people are. What message is being sent? Be as loud, mean, and obnoxious as possible, and you can become famous enough to be somebody?
Absolutely . . . . what was the line? "Bleach blonde bad-built butch body?" That's some sick alliteration. Whitey looked around all cross-eyed like he didn't know what just happened. Priceless
"Be as loud, mean, and obnoxious as possible, and you can become famous enough to be somebody?" Not just members of Congress it's an accurate description of the presidential nominee of one the two major political parties.
Lol.. the Dem's past "greats" like Anthony Wiener, Alan Grayson. And today they have their leader, pretender-in-chief, Biden.
MTG’s comment about the fake eyelashes was just as accurate .. and unnecessary, unstatesmanlike, unprofessional, and unproductive. The other ladies on the committee should have reacted to her comments by dispassionately requesting that they be stricken from the record and then immediately pivoting back to the subject at hand. Their histrionics only ended up making them look just as bad as MTG.
