You don’t have to agree with my opinion on the matter. But we both know what Jesus and the Bible teach.

You didn't and still haven't. By now, it is pretty apparent that you appointed yourself the arbiter and judge. I also know what the Bible says about that. Good luck trying to judge everybody.

That whole article is some unserious concern trolling. I wouldn’t call that tweet “doxxing” considering it merely stated the city/town - not exactly personal info. Not really seeing any “both sides just as bad” out of that.

Seems like someone tried to make a joke - like “he’s their problem, not ours”. I’d rather govt accounts not be used to make jokes, but this reaction is ridiculous. Especially considering their original premise was that the response to the speech was over the top. So then “dragging” an entire city (whatever that means) over a tweet isn’t? If a change.org petition is the best example they’ve got i don’t see much of a case. Guy probably won’t lose his job so long as he makes kicks, but I’m sure if he were a lesser kicker or was in a different role in his frivolous business (like if he were an NFL studio talking head or commentator) he’d probably be shown the door just because of the toxic PR.

It's been a long time since I read him but i see it as the tyranny of the majority vs the tyranny of the minority? Democracy isn't perfect but neither were prior forms of rule. Hard for me to see "cancel culture" as purely an American thing.

Your assertion is that you know more about the Bible and Catholic theocracy than… the Pope!?

This is in addition to your superior knowledge of virology.

Quite the Renaissance man we have here. Impressive.

There are accusations on social media that he enjoyed batting for the other team occasionally in college.

This was a really bad idea on his part.

I didn't say it's purely American. My point is that it's quintessentially American. I'm not critiquing democracy or freedom of speech. Rather, I'm making the point that social consequences are an inherent and even necessary part of a free society. The beauty of free speech is the government cannot use force to stop us from speaking and is supposed to prevent private actors from doing the same. Whether the social consequences fit the social crime is an argument of proportionality. But social consequences are not a bad thing in and of themselves.

I doubt the Chiefs are going to release this guy. I don't much care if they do or don't. If they do, somebody else will pick him up. But I'm not going to feel bad for some millionaire for facing backlash because he has crappy beliefs and decided to hijack students' graduation to put them on display. It's a good thing that people are calling him out for having terrible views.

Emasculation of men? He does know that he's a kicker, doesn't he? If ever they start forcing football players to wear dresses, the kickers will be the first players to wear one.

The nuns of Benedict college are having none of it. Either that or these nuns must also be biblically clueless, like their pope? Maybe Q needs to get up there and let these sisters hear some of his speaking fruit?

Benedictine Sisters of Mount St. Scholastica: Butker graduation speech divisive, doesn’t represent college’s values

There is a reason you only attack me and not my opinion. You know the fruit…

Butker said no such thing in all honesty, and the people wanting both sides to shut up by wanting them removed are indeed the same to anyone being honest and not so deeply entrenched in their own ideology.

I wanted the Dolphins to sign Kaep. I think he absolutely got screwed and it was evil what was done to him ftr. The fact that Watson is in the league and Kaep is not is a travesty.

Well, its not a thing at all, that's the problem here. People seem to think they have the "right to be cool" when they dont. Guess what, if you say something publicly, people might get mad at you, that's just how freedom is going to work.
