He raised objections via diplomatic channels multiple times and the concerns were ignored. What options did he have? Upped it to public objections, no response other than fu. Net played a stupid game by totally dismissing us concerns so he won a stupid prize. More weapons approved today. He is making rational decisions to support their goals but not their use of blunt force with no consideration for civilian casualties.
If the world wants to help end this, they need to laser focus on putting the hamas leaders abroad in jail or in the ground. Cut off the head rather than allow them to live unabated in Qatar and elsewhere.

Turkey is an interesting piece of the puzzle and always has been. WW1 was a cluster for sure. Super changed geographical lines and millions of lives. Gramma was born in Romania, moved to Austria and the family fled when Germany collapsed economically. They then emigrated to Canada. I am going way off topic but WAR should be avoided at all costs. No one ever needs to lose their son or daughter!

Actually no, you're just all sorts of wrong - but I guess you're used to that.
    1. Ukraine was invaded (without provocation) and is now occupied by a world superpower, so they are fighting a defensive war against a foreign aggressor who is much more powerful than they are. There is no comparison to Israel. Israel was attacked by terrorist organization, who did not occupy shit. Israel then invaded Gaza as a reprisal, and is now basically occupying and destroying a civilian area with over 2 million people living there.
    2. Whereas Ukraine has killed maybe a couple of hundred of Russian civilians in over 800 days of war, Israel has already killed 20,000 or more civilians in 7 months of fighting.
    3. The goal of the Ukrainian government is to retake all of the land Russia has occupied going back to 2014, and then to force them through the international community to pay for the rebuilding of the country. Those are the published stated goals as of right now. Even now, the international community is working to basically steal frozen Russian assets to pay for reconstruction after the war. So yes, in fact, there is a plan in Ukraine. Now are these realistic goals? Probably not when it comes to retaking land - but Israel's goal of destroying Hamas isn't realistic either - so I guess they do have that in common, at the least.
    4. Whereas foreign powers could choose to come in and help Israel at any time, the world does not have that luxury with Ukraine because it could inadvertently start world war 3. Much different stakes in the Ukraine war than the one in Gaza.

Honestly we could go on and on - the two things are entirely different, and yes, there are currently many plans for post-war Ukraine, and many plans to try to help Ukraine win the war.
The comparison is childish and ridiculous.

In my experience, there is no such “formula” per se. But the governing math is generally not “how many X will this mission kill” as much as “how many more of our ground forces will die making this assault without this airstrike?” The targeting team makes a collateral damage estimate, shows the decider the projections with and without the strike, and the decider either chooses one course of action or the other or kicks up the decision to higher headquarters if they do not have the authority to incur the risk.

I have addressed that exact thing. If Hamas is holding its own people hostage and not allowing them to go to the humanitarian areas that Israel has set up, then how is that the IDF’s fault? Should Israel just say, “Oh, well, I guess Hamas has got us. Nothing we can do. Time to go get ready for the next October 7th, I suppose.” I guess I would prefer Hamas or its successor group saying to itself 10 years from now, “Uh, no, remember what happened last time? We took a whole bunch of Israeli hostages and hugged our own population … but the Israelis came for us anyway. Let’s not do that again.”

Hamas does not care about the civilians like that. They might as well be ammunition. Every civilian killed is a win for Hamas at this point. I'm not saying Israel should not be fighting, but they should maybe pause and consider the long term ramifications of just bombing Gaza into the stone age.

I don’t want Gaza bombed into the Stone Age either. I don’t want one more bomb dropped than is absolutely necessary. I hope Israel is as discriminatory and restrained as the tactical situation allows. I want them to get their hostages back, preferably alive; the Hamas fighters killed or captured; and the reconstruction of Gaza to begin as quickly as possible.

So then the US had no reason to enter WWII then? We weren’t invaded. You are just making shit up. Love seeing it. Too funny.

Uhhhhhhh lol. What planet are you from lmao.
So first you compared the israel-gaza conlfict to the ukraine-russia war...
But now you are making comparisons to WW2? Like Pearl Harbor was just a terrorist attack?
With that kind of fantastical thinking I'm sure you can draw any conclusion you want to and feel right lol.

LOL. You don't like the comparison because it blows up your whole argument. I guess if you have no response then you claim it's a crazy comparison. Too funny. Back to bashing Israel...

Answer what? You have not made a cogent argument worthy of response. And I won't respond to you again until you do.

LOL. I get it. You can't answer my reply because if you did it would make your argument look stupid. You argued that Ukraine could defend itself because it was invaded. And no, Ukraine doesn't have a a clear strategic endgame in sight unless you call "hopefully Russia quits" as a goal. Ukraine is just hoping that the US keeps bankrolling Ukraine in perpetuity.

Israel was invaded and attacked on Oct 7th without provocation yet because they are defending themselves you don't like it. The vast majority of Palestinians supported and cheered the Oct 7th massacre yet you are saying they are innocent. They voted Hamas into power and let them stay. Palestinians are so loved in the Middle East that literally no country will take their refuges. Why do you think that is? Plus you are parroting Hamas death numbers as the truth which takes next level stupidity to believe.

^ In this post, Ukraine should have an endgame because they invaded Russia, and should plausibly be able to dictate how that conflict ends.

Also, Israel was literally "invaded" as a nation by an enemy army. And now, as they level the entirety of Gaza and cause appx 1.7 million people (80% of the population) to be displaced.....there is no reason for them to have any idea whatsoever on when their troops would return home, what Gaza should then look like, or how this conflict might end.

Because after all, unlike Ukraine, Israel was invaded by an enemy army.

Yeah I'm still waiting for a cogent argument but I'm not holding my breath.
And again, it's like any criticism of Israel basically gets you lumped in with terrorists. Is it really crazy for these people to believe I'm rooting for Israel I just want them to approach things smarter, with some kind of long term strategy, which they clearly don't have right now? I can think they are the good guys and still be angry at them.
I can't comment about the tactical decisions being made on the ground - who knows, maybe the literal only way forward is dropping 300,000 bombs on a tiny area. I doubt it, but I don't have all the info. What I do feel pretty confident about, based on early evidence, is that they are only hurting themselves in the long run.

Literally that made zero sense. I'd say do better but we know that isn't happening.
