I was more speaking of the 85 kids that have sorta already earned their scholly for next year. I’m not high on taking it away if they hold up their end. These portal kids could’ve been here in the spring if they really wanted to be gators. At this point, of course we need the talent still but straight cash may be the better option.
Yeah I was thinking go 86 or even 87 with the assumption that 1 or 2 leave before September. But you make a great point —- it wouldn’t be right to push out a kid who signed with us during normal recruiting, for a portal kid who passed on us the first time. Then again, there’s nothing ‘normal’ about ‘recruiting’ anymore
The lowest is on scholarship though. Any pwo will need a chunk just to get through. I wouldn’t want him to be driving an expensive car next week but enough to get his feet under him and let him earn what he gets from there. It costs a lot to go to UF. I know kids that go to uwf here because their parents can’t afford for them to be at UF. Just because you can get in doesn’t mean you can afford to be there. One of my kids is at Texas from the GI bill. He got in but now has tge help financially to be there. I couldn’t swing it.
We still have Weston so we have an open scholarship. He will have to "retire from football" if we get a transfer.
Why does my mind keep going to the scene in UHF where Raul is getting the delivery of animals. I won’t post, for fear of jinx.
Or... he should be offered what he's worth as a college DB while he played for Colorado. That is his worth now, not some fictitious high school ranking. Back to Badger... the Arizona mod from some other site (24/7? maybe) hates the Gators. I wonder if this has anything to do with our teams both recruiting Badgers from the portal? Lol...
Don’t want to be that guy, but can’t we keep this thread about Badger? We’ve got a separate thread that thrashes Cormani, right???
From what I hear, Arizona (he's from AZ state) hired his WR coach and they're very much in the mix. Badger definitely has a herniated disc. The question is all about the injury and tissue damage. It does not bode well to have a herniated disc over time. There's a lot we don't know and probably will never know. Those in the know are the one's involved in the examination, obviously. What's of interest, the wide receiver's coach is not telling the University of AZ to not pursue Badger. We will see what the future reveals, eh?
Really unfortunate for the kid. I hope he gets his back repaired and doesn’t jeopardize his long term health
On the pay said a poster that really seems to be ‘in the know’ on this one has indicated that he passed his physical with UF and that an announcement of his coming is pending shortly.!
