Poor old "no talent" Gators:

#1 DB Cormani McClain
#1 Offensive lineman Jason Zandamela
#1 Defensive Lineman DJ McCray

Rick, frankly I am happily 'stunned" the way CBN has salvaged an early signing day disappointment to a class that, between transfers
and signee's has rocketed back up the "talent" chart. And that was before McClain committed.

The other aspect to CBN's approach is "Culture". There really seems to be very positive feedback. Even Josh Pate left his Gator visit impressed.

Point is - We are at a cross road. The schedule the next two seasons is ridiculous. Of course W - L is and always will be the principle driver, but it's hard
not to see some blue sky at the end of a long dark tunnel.

Will Gator Nation stand with coach? I hope so, I think we may have a diamond in the rough and we should hold on to it long enough to see the payoff.

There are things a good HC has to do and recruiting is usually a big part of it. But training and organizing that talent into a competitive program is wat matters. Hope the staff takes that leap this season.

 

We got the young talent. Now just need some wins so Napier keeps his job and can see it to fruition.

Still not clear on how they're calculating this. For instance, Miami is ranked 6th with 41 commitments and three 5 stars. But if I click on their list of incoming players, I only see one 5 star showing?

22 of the 41 is 3*

 

We all hope he makes the leap this season, but all these top ranked guys will have zero to do with it. It’s going to be a couple more years before these fruits blossom

Agree. We have way out-recruited our W-L record. #7 class is an outright triumph. I don’t get why anyone would think we deserve to get a top 1-5 class just because we are UF. With what we’ve done in the field the past two years, we are very fortunate to be able to attract this level of talent. Billy and staff deserve a lot of credit… especially as you pointed out how we lost some big names early on.

 

Yes. Gotta be patient. This is a 5-6 year process. Only give it 3 years and we have to restart the whole thing.

 

Kudos to Billy, the assistant coaches and the staff.
