On another site , the usual anti- billy crew said ; “this reeks of desperation by Billy” That’s total BS. good for billy to give this kid a second chance Albeit with a veeeerrrryyy short leash. We all deserve a second chance sometimes. Only one perfect human has ever existed.

 

If he brings him in as a walkon, I don’t think that’s desperate at all. That’s kind of a boss move, imo. I thought it was more of a wishful thinking kind of thing, but that rumor has taken off like a wildfire.

If he brings him in on scholly, I don’t understand it as much, and don’t love having to push someone out that made it through the spring with us. Losing a player or two between now and the first game is probably gonna happen anyway though, so it doesn’t really make much difference.

 

We have those idiots here too. I already don’t like the kid from everything I’ve ever read or seen but if he’s going to be a gator, I’m behind him and he has a fresh slate.

Totally disrespected Billy. He flipped us off the night of the prom. Even with all that potential talent (or as in the case of the prom, a night to remember), you cannot sacrifice your dignity.

 

This kid has to know it’s his last shot at a high level program, the incentive is there it’s all up to him. Kid deserves a chance to prove himself

Well he did. Does he wanna be remembered as that guy? Is that who he is? Does he still admire the Dion type? Some do grow into much better people and put stuff behind them. He has a long way to go.

 

I raised six and there’s one of mine that may pull some shit like he did and all his brothers would be on him.

 

I’m not sure he deserves anything. That’s what I call entitlement. He should feel lucky to get another opportunity. When the kid gets that mindset, he will have a better chance at that success.

For sure… I get it. But really the issue here is that people are saying that your kid (if he did something bad) shouldn’t get another shot to redeem himself after his brothers corrected him. That’s what I disagree with.

 

I'll play devil's advocate here -

1. What if he really did want to come to UF, but the relationship with Corey Raymond soured? There seems to be some smoke that CR was hard to work with.
2. He's 18 years old and has a ridiculous amount of pressure and notoriety for somebody that age. Is it possible his year at Colorado humbled him and he's realized he needs to grow up in order to succeed at this level and the next level?

Who knows. I think taking him as a walk on and having him prove himself for a year is the right direction. Seems like Napier runs a tight ship that's heavily vested in player development. Might be a perfect fit for Cormani.

 

Good point regarding CR. If that’s what drove him to troll us on signing day then their relationship must have been downright toxic
