The committee voted to recommend Merrick Garland be charged with contempt of congress for non-reply to 2 subpoenas.

BREAKING: House Judiciary Votes to Recommend AG Merrick Garland Be Charged With Contempt of Congress

On Monday, the House Judiciary Committee voted to approve a resolution that recommends filing Contempt of Congress charges against Attorney General Merrick Garland, according to a statement by Ohio Congressman Jim Jordan (R) on X.

Garland to Be Held in Contempt. This is Why. (townhall.com)

House Republicans plan to hold Attorney General Merrick Garland in contempt of Congress later this week. Garland continues his refusal to turn over audio files of the interview former Special Counsel Robert Hur conducted with President Joe Biden. The interview was part of Hur's investigation into Biden for mishandling classified information as a private citizen.

I'm sure we can find Merrick Garland a cell right next to Peter Navarro.

Is that the same Jim Jordan who openly defined a subpoena? Maybe Jordan should be in cell next to Navarro himself.

We know what Jim Jordan is. Why bother to use the initials for it.

Your thread title and first link are not correct, are they? They plan to consider whether or not to recommend.

Don't try to mess with Gaetz. Jim Jordan is very protective of pedophiles.

As for this, I think Merrick Garland should resign, and Biden should make Kristen Clarke the Interim AG. I'd feel so owned by the Republicans if that happened.

It's right. The committee voted yes to recommend the charge to the House.

admit i don't rules of the house well, but pelosi kicking out the selected minorities while choosing 2 trump haters combined with jordan being referred to the ethics committee, not the judiciary, had something to do with the pubs, including mccarthy, not playing ball with the hyper partisian j6 committee, just guessing.

Gym Jordan is a groomer that should be in jail. Is OP in support of groomers like Gym Jordan?

Pelosi rejected 2 of the Republican's 5 picks for participation on the J6 committee. She rejected those two because they were going to be topics of investigation. Rather than provide 2 more picks who weren't J6 collaborators, the GOP took their ball and went home. If they had any integrity, they would have provided replacements who weren't J6 collaborators.

The irony of Jordan complaining about someone not complying with a sub peona.
