Well played. Until our orange and blue blooded, valedictorian, disciplined, dripping with integrity, philanthropic, nose-in-the-playbook, do-everything-they're told, do-everything-the-right-way Gator football players become talented enough to win over .500 in a year in the SEC, we can hardly turn down talent.

I don't think a school should ever push any kid off of a scholarship to make room. But more than likely, at least one of the 85 will find a way to either not make grades or have trouble with the law and not be around at the start of Fall. It seems to happen every year.

I think the PWO route with Cormani, due to already having 85, might work out perfectly for Napier. Gives him a little time to see how Cormani gels with the other players and some time in the locker room to see how he fits, before he commits a scholarship to him. And I think it gives Cormani the incentive to work harder for it and prove he wants to be a Gator.

He better at least address the staff and his teammates.

Nice thought but it’s probably not possible for anything without a little money involved. It’s a sad situation that we’re in. A short leash and giving the kid a chance to do a U-turn and leave it up to the kid.

I wish hard workers that make their grades and our great teammates would have their scholarships also but that is not the world we live in. The average roster has about 30 new players a year which means if you’re not in a too deep, you’re just not safe anymore. I kind of think very few of your good student good teammate players get to make it through a high-end football factory by just being a good teammate anymore.

I was really skeptical when Randy Moss went to New England and I’ve never liked him very much before that. But I think that locker room hit him a lot of good and now when I see him on TV talking, I actually like the guy.

I don't disagree, but you have to think Deion probably put him up to some of that or at least set the tone for it. I think that may have been part of Cormani's comments about not playing for clicks. Deion Sanders, even at Jackson State was all about the spectacle and his bigtime recruits boasting about picking his program.

Also, I suspect that Deion's special treatment of his sons and a handful of other players had to have made for a bad locker room situation. It's pretty clear that Deion manipulates the media. I'm sure he manipulates the kids too.

I'm not saying that Cormani doesn't owe our coaches and fans an apology but I'm not sure how much of that was actually from the people around him.

I dunno. I like our kids for the most part. I can’t really think of a true douchbag although I’m sure they exist.

Me neither, but the talent that you seek is already in our DB room.

Does he add to the talent pool, or is he a distraction... that is for Napier to figure out.

I get the impression the locker room finally has some leadership, so hopefully they would smack that stuff down.

I do as well....but rest assured fans at other schools would most certainly have recruiting stories about our kids, and how they misled a staff or otherwise were not the little angels we believe them to be lol

When I hear “blue collar team that does things the right way” I hear “slow “ lol. A championship team is built from hard working -team dudes and some me first -head case guys all working together… ala 2008

I’d say Saban kept a blue collar attitude his entire tenure and that had a lot to do with his success. They kept the dumbasses under control and you didn’t see their players mouthing off in social media much. Their leaders probably pulled the fipshits aside and showed em how the lockeroom worked.

He just may have been humbled from the experience. I’m no fan of Deion but he probably did the kid a favor by not coddling him.

Randy is pretty awesome. It’s hilarious how much of a bumpkin he is. The stories of him and jwill growing up are very entertaining.

If he is coming as a PWO that speaks volumes. And if Billy is considering him then that relationship isn’t burned. Thats what matters.
