JMO, but it’s not funny, clever, or additive to any convo. In fact it’s the opposite.

I'm very sorry for asking you to substantiate a lie from your political leader. That was very unkind.

    Thanks for playing victim.

    Your opinion is duly noted.

How about calling a fellow poster a liar or placing non-flattering political adjectives on posters who do not share your political stripes? I say it's not funny, clever, or additive to any conversation.

A wargame simulation concluded that if Putin's boy Trump were put back in the White House, NATO would collapse. So listen up, republicans: vote for Trump, commit treason, destroy democracy.

A wargame simulated a 2nd Trump presidency. It concluded NATO would collapse.

Put them on ignore. Or report the posts to the mods.
I have just seen the positive energy and quality info you provide in other forums, but something seems to change when you come here. It doesn't have to.

Anyway..back to whatever was happening before I jumped in.

I think it's all the bans on non-liberal news sites he faces over here. It's really....NOT FAIR.

That's why, for just a few examples, he can't substantiate his (false) claims that Trump had a bigger inauguration crowd. Or that Biden is a dictator.

You gotta admit that the unfairness can really add up.

He’s right about at least one thing though, calling him a liar shouldn’t be part of the convo. It doesn’t help anything.

I agree. I try to instead say something like "The things you are saying are untrue." Or "Can you please substantiate that false statement."

Then he usually leaves the convo for a while, but says the same things later. It does seem more civil.

It is kind of weird , tho more pleasant, seeing all these posts without reading what they are referencing from the land of "alternative facts".:)

Given Trump paid hardly any income taxes for decades, He has to be either:

One of the biggest money losers in business in American history

    Or

One of the biggest tax cheats in history.

    I vote both.

I would add a third alternative not mutually exclusive with the other two:

He was been able to take advantage of tax loopholes inserted into the Internal Revenue Code by a special interest specifically real estate developers demonstrating the corrupt effect that money has on American politics and ultimately policy.

That kind of crap never happened when America was great. Kids in prior generations never rebelled against parents.

Unsurprisingly, the gag order is upheld by appeals court.

Very pro-defense ruling yesterday by Judge Merchan. Prosecution essentially not allowed to explain that Alan Weisselberger is not present because he is incarcerated after being paid by DT to remain silent

Trump has competent attorneys who have yet to put on their defense, but this seems bad for Trump, especially given how much of Cohen's testimony has been corroborated by other witnesses/documentation and his being candid about his lies in the past.

Is the law different in New York than Alabama or can the Judge in the Trump case threaten to jail Trump if he doesn't apologize for being rude to people?

Yea, the prosecution tried to insulate him on attack, and it seems like they did a good job (from Twitter). We will see how cross goes. They have a lot of attack surfaces

At least from Anna Bower's Twitter thread, the cross of Cohen does not seem that effective. They really preempted a lot. Interested what Ben Wittes says later.
