He believed the sales job from neon Deion, who was a great DB in the NFL. Wants to be closer to home. Better weather. Worth a flyer IMO of attitude is right
As much as we’ve heard about the “sh*7heads” and “trouble makers” being removed. McClain needs to be thoroughly vetted before entertaining his arrival.
Kid got bad advice but were there not red flags prior his commitment shananigans? Issues at school not going to practice grades ect. Him and his MOM throwing up the "U" and playing games with the Gators? then supposedly doing the same to Miami with Colorado? Ok he did not lose his talent but did he lose that attitude? Take him and see if he meshes with the current roster ? Or hard pass? I say it's low risk high reward if he works out. After all business is business and you cant deny his talent.
I wouldn’t push anyone out to make room for him. If he wants to walk on, bring it. That alone would signal an attitude change to me. I wouldn’t be interested in bringing him in on scholarship at all. I don’t play a role in these decisions though, lol.
Remember Borders focus on academics when recruiting out of HS. Almost went to Stanford. Now a transfer to Nebraska and then Pitt. Not known for academic prowess.
agreed!!! Wasn’t athletic enough to be a contributing player at DE or LB at UF (and yes i know we’ve been down but you know what I mean) but loved the university. I’ll NEVER root against him even if Pitt plays UF in the bowl season. Great kid, great name too. Wishing it works out for him
There were 3 WR's in that class - all Florida kids and all went to Alabama, 1 was a 5* and 2 were 4*. Remembering at the time, hoping maybe Florida could persuade just one to reconsider staying and select Florida. All 3 have left Alabama and are playing at schools that will not be playing for a national championship anytime soon.........go figure?
Will he hold the record for most commitments before college career ends. Had South Carolina, UF and UM in first year and now Purdue, Colorado, Texas State, …
