In opening statement the defense denied the encounter between trump and Stormy even took place (probably at trump’s insistence) so that the prosecution had to provide evidence that it did.

More allegations of illegal coverup payments.

The complaint cites new allegations from 2016 Trump campaign aide A.J. Delgado, which she lodged in a sworn court declaration earlier this week as part of her ongoing discrimination suit against Trump’s political operation."

"Delgado’s filing presented evidence of top Trump attorney Marc Kasowitz openly admitting that the campaign wanted to use a law firm to cover up a potential settlement payout in 2017. The arrangement, as Delgado described it, appears specifically designed to evade the consequences of federal disclosure laws that require campaigns to publicly report the identities of payment recipients."

“In other words, the payment would be routed through a middleman, to hide the fact that the Campaign had settled, from the public and the FEC,” Delgado stated. “I thus have direct, personal experience with the Defendant-Campaign hiding settlement payments to women, routing them through a ‘middleman law firm,’ which to the public would only appear as payments “for legal services.”

"Delgado also claimed to have “information and reason to believe” that other campaign payments have hidden settlements with women “who raised complaints of gender discrimination, pregnancy discrimination, and sexual harassment.” Those payments, she said, are related to the $4.1 million that flowed to Kasowitz’s law firm over a two-month period immediately following the November 2020 election, as well as millions in mysterious legal reimbursements to the campaign’s compliance firm, Red Curve Solutions, which The Daily Beast first reported earlier this month, prompting a federal complaint."

Absent the Trump wonder defense team somehow opening the door, I don't see the judge allowing it at this point in the trial.

Possibly. There is a significant amount of investigation to do.

 

At the expense of repetition, Bad Man Trump pre-dates his decision to run for President: multiple consumer fraud liabilities, multiple bankruptcies, serial adultery, serially cheating creditors, cheating charities, amongst so many more.

That he continued to cheat and defraud after deciding to run for President is, and should be, of no shock to anyone who is not poisoned by a deluded sense of “Savior Trump.”

That’s not “lawfare,” even under your use of the word, as the acts all occurred before he dipped his toe in politics.

 

Or, as Trumpeteers claim, permitted by the worst judge to ever preside over a case who has completely lost control of his courtroom.

I’ve read many Trumpeteers posting that Biden is trying to “buy” votes by cancelling portions of student loans. Maybe so.

But how is Trump not trying to buy votes when he promises across the board tax cuts (at a time, IMO, when our Country needs the revenue)?

I doubt congress will agree with more tax cuts so maybe he is trying to buy votes. It's a promise Trump can't keep any more than Biden's student loan forgiveness which will be overruled a second time by the SCOTUS.

Trump's original tax cuts will expire in 2025. I want those extended permanently. Those tax cuts put lots of dollars back into the pocket of middle-class taxpayers. Not rich by a long shot, but my taxes went down significantly.

I am actually tempted to listen to the whole thing. I have a car ride, and my wife may acquiesce. I'd also actually like to attend a rally - I think it would be extremely interesting. It's now all (sadly) a part of American history.

The problem is this;

If I were to critique the rally, which would necessitate pointing out the obvious numerous falsehoods.....Trump supporters would just lie right back at me in response. There's no rational debate any more, as Trump supporters have no qualms with the total abandonment of actual facts.

I think it's safe to assume that he would, for example, tell the standard lies about the economy during his term, his tax cuts, energy, his covid response, etc., and those are the low hanging fruit. Then when these lies were commented on, Trumpers would just lie. Or say something about Biden.

There's no longer a point to attempting rational debate with people who tolerate and EMBRACE lies. Only mockery of them.

Either admit that it's a lie, or that you're a man who does not mind being lied to by his chosen political leaders. It's that simple.
