Remember, he is with the team everyday, he knows them better than we do, he see their work ethics, practices and leadership skills..knows their personalities and capabilities..he knows behind the scenes issues..we don't..so I am going to trust his judgment..he has coached the Gators to national championships....
Agreed. Been on that kids side all along. Kept saying she is elite. Only scratching the surface with her. I also remember folks barking about Walton also......my response was look at center field.
I replayed it at the time to make sure I got it right cuz I was laughing. Let's just say she was pleased, surprised, and NSFW. It was actually pretty cool to see her unvarnished emotion.
She’s on fire no doubt. CTW said before this season started we would go as far as our pitching can take us. Keagan locked in like this. Offense on fire. I’m happy.
Mia is really great defensively, that’s why she’s in the lineup, when she starts punching 20!homers a season. Come back and inform me how senile I am. Mia is going light it up.
What I want to know is was that slow rolling single in the 6th inning through the right side of the infield the responsibility of 2nd or 1st? 1st covered the bag, 2nd (Mia) took a step towards 2nd base and stopped, and the ball rolled through to short RF where Katie came up to get the ball. I don't know, but something didn't seem to work right on that play.
IMO this was Mia’s responsibility. I’m not really sure why she went toward 2nd. You’ll almost never get the out st 2nd in that situation, and especially given the lead in the game, you take the sure out at first and don’t worry about the lead runner. She should be nowhere near 2nd on that play. Either she fields the ball and the first baseman stays home, or the first basemen crashes and Mia covers first. Like I said just my opinion. They may have been given different responsibilities in that situation that we didn’t know about. Just looked like a miscommunication. Also can’t take away from the fact that it was a perfect bunt that essentially took away Keagan’s ability to field it with the placement of it, which may have been what Mia was relying on.
We definitely need to work our bunt defense for the Post season. That's 1 area where we've had several mess-ups this year. Most teams haven't tried to bunt, but those few who have gotten one down have been successful more often than not.
