Maybe the heat will melt the Cats. Then again maybe the sun will rise in the West and set in the East.

The thing about this years team is consistency, we have issues pitching and hitting all year long. I'm sure Sully is surprised as most of us, on paper we look really good but our veteran pitchers outside of Cags have regressed badly and the freshmen pitchers take time to mature.
We lost a ton of great players and unfortunately did not replace them through the portal nor did those players from last year improve, actually they too regressed.
We are having a year much like lsu who likewise lost a ton of talent. Frankly, this years team is going nowhere and I hate it for Cags who has given his all.

    But wait till next year...

Look at the box score and shake you head in disbelief.... Gators held the Cats to 3 runs going into the 8th and held a solid 6-3 lead and our "closer" on the mound... and then in a flash- 3 in the 8th off Neely, 3 in the 9th off McNeilly and 3 in the 10th off Fisher....Stunning to lose in that fashion. Tough to come back from a loss like that one when Sully had all hands on deck. But it perfectly encapsulates the season.

Horns always says it well. Today is about fighting. Still a ton to play for. Dale Thomas great play yesterday. Team missing a bulldog. I think he’s it. Someone needs to step up and get after our pitchers and say throw strikes. If they hit it, they hit it. Hitting and walking guys will never work.
