I like our home schedule. I think we have the opportunity to get off to a fast/positive start if things break our way. Go Gators!

A loss won't define the season as a whole, but it will definitely define the immediate post-loss narrative. Whether that narrative can be overcome by the Gators to turn the season back around would have to be seen, but it would make it more difficult. I haven't seen our Gators football team demonstrate a ton of resiliency the last few years, unfortunately.

Texas and Ole Miss are loaded too, but Texas will be our second hardest game after UGA.

    Hardest games:
    1. UGA
    2. Texas
    3. Ole Miss
    4. LSU
    5. FSU
    6. Texas A&M
    7. Kentucky

    8. Tennessee
    9. Miami
    10. UCF

And we play 6 of those games in The Swamp.

They didn’t do us any favors for next year. Basically the same except swap the home & away. It just as difficult… if not more so.

Yep, the reciprocal schedule of this year sucks for next year... But we do get Texas, FSU and Tennessee at home.

The packed stands at BHG for our home games last year says otherwise. Its not the lack of fan support holding this program back.

May - Aug is just 4 months away - We are halfway there!!

Miami - Maybe the toughest, winnable, game. Talent wise, they are equally skilled in most positions, and more skilled in some. They still need to find another experienced cb. The Gators must bring their A game. The Swamp should prove to be the difference in us winning. The defense must play sound, and the offense may need to score in high 30's to keep the game close. I am not sure our defense will hold UM to less than four scores. This game may come down to whoever gets more turnovers, and it may be a field goal difference. Because they will be ranked, keeping the score close will bode well for us even with a loss. Miami will come to play, and the Gators better.
Samford - The one game DJ may play a lot. Mertz should put this game away by halftime.
TAMU - This will not be an easy contest! One opponent we cannot give them points.
MS State (away) - Starkville has always been a tough place to play. This will not be an automatic win. Will the Gators show they can win on the road?
UCF - They will play us tough for three quarters, but we will pull away in the fourth.
TN (away) - to win at Rocky Top, we will need to fire on all cylinders. They will be favored to win at home. Will we own the Vols again?
KY - No guarantees against the cats. This should be a close win, however.
Georgia - Our 8th game, and we should be playing decently. Can we pull off the win? Everyone will be betting on the Dawgs!
TX - A definite loss with their home field advantage!
LSU - Our tenth game. Injuries may factor into whether we win or lose at home. We need to win this one at home to be in the win plus column.
Ole Miss - If Mertz is healthy this is winnable!
    FSU - You pick em!

I don't know if we lose the Tennessee game, even if it is in Knoxville. But the rest looks about right. Maybe we can pull out the Ole Miss game at home? Lol... who knows.

    ESPN says we're playing #1, #4, #6, #12, #15, #16, #23, #24 and #25 as of today.
Big difference of opinion on Ole Miss (#6 with ESPN, #15 with CFN). Tenn same in both.

Hilarious! You want to quibble over rankings, yet these teams are still ranked! And, where are the Gators ranked? Personally, I think the Gators will be the surprise of the fall. Having said that, most of the Gator opponents are better this year. Regardless, the Gators will have to play extremely well to win at least seven games
Is seven games possible? Yes! Is it likely is the question? It will depend on injuries.

With arguably having the toughest schedule in college football we missed having to play the #7, 9 and 16 teams in conference. I think this puts in perspective how many 3 loss teams there will be who could argue they should be in the playoffs. A 3 or 4 loss year will have to be viewed differently. Despite all the accolades of Tx being a national championship team, if they play this year exactly like they did last year, they may be a 3 or 4 loss team this year.

When is the last time the Gators had 9 ranked teams on their football schedule? LMFAO! You just know the SEC brass are anti-Gators. But if we beat our fair share of teams... then Napier and company become legitimate SEC coaches. And depending on how many wins... makes for an interesting conversation. All the talk will be positive only IF... we manage more than 7 wins.

Now... history, one way or another, is facing coach Napier and his coaching staff. Let's see if he and HIS team chooses to dance (LeAnn Rimes style) or not.

    I hope we dance.

I agree, we could go into Knoxville undefeated. It will be imperative that we are mentally in games and play disciplined football. The talent is there, so execution is a must. We cannot afford to play slow and/or give opponents points. Against Miami, we cannot make mistakes and play from behind. Miami thrives on turnovers, and we cannot afford to give them any momentum. We need to predominantly play uphill against our opponents; especially, Miami!!!
