While contributions to the Trump campaign from small donors have dropped significantly over the last couple of months jailing the Donald could trigger such an emotional reaction among his base that they may be willing to max out their credit cars (admittedly I'm slightly facetious) to support their Dear Leader. Although I consider it irrational a lot of his supporters still genuinely believe that Trump is Christ-like figure who is being symbolically crucified on their behalf.

Back to the shit show trial going on now. Week three and can anyone here identify the crime Trump is supposedly being charged with? If you know please tell the prosecution team since they have yet to identify it. Please try to give an honest informed answer if there is one.

Not a surprise but there was a standing order not to pay any bills without first trying to negotiate a reduced bill in exchange for payment now.

The accountant directly ties Trump to ordering the hush money payment to Cohen

Trump paid Michael Cohen from his own personal bank account, former Trump Organization employee says (msn.com)

But the former Trump Organization staffer also spoke to Trump's interactions with Cohen. In 2017, he testified, Trump told him that Michael Cohen was owed money, some of which was said to be a for a bonus but the rest was "other money." This other money was specifically for the hush payment, which prosecutors allege was falsely described in business records as "legal expenses," and was meant to cover the taxes Cohen would incur by claiming the money as income.

McConney, who started working for Trump in 1987, also testified that, about a year into his employment, he was warned by the Trump himself against paying the former president's bills without first seeing if he could negotiate for a lower payment. That claim could help prosecutors show that Trump would have been intimately involved in any scheme to misclassify the payments to Cohen.

Indeed, on Monday jurors were shown an email, from Weisselberg to McConney, discussing the payments to Cohen, "as per agreement with Don and Eric." McConney said that he had emailed Cohen in 2017, asking him to submit invoices for the money. The subject line read: "$$."

The money to Cohen, McConney testified, came from Trump's personal bank account.

The 3-digit IQ crowd has no issue knowing what's going on. I can see why it would be an issue for MAGAts.

he claimed a personal expenses as a business expenses

he did so to hide the information to help his election chances.

this has been clearly explained multiple times in multiple ways but you don't want to hear it or don't want to believe it is a crime. it is election fraud under NY law

The prosecutor knows what the crime is, djt knows what the crime is, and now you know what the crime is. But what's a little election fraud between friends, I mean I just need a few hundred thousand votes to win, certainly you can find them sitting around somewhere...smdh at the people that continue to support someone like that.

Here is a summary of the charges he is facing at the time the article was written. I suspect more will follow in Az and Michigan where he is a currently unindicted co-conspirator

Sad fact is that if he wouldn't have tried to cheat the taxman and claim the payoffs as legal expenses, there would have been no crime, but djt never plays by the rules the rest of us have to. I mean he can just grab em by the hoochie, he is a star, laws and moral conduct doesn't apply to him and his beautiful blue eyes....

A guide to Donald Trump's four criminal cases (bbc.com)

It's worth noting, though, that providing so-called hush-money is not in fact illegal.

Instead, this case is more technical and centres on how Mr Trump's former lawyer, who paid Ms Daniels, had his reimbursement recorded in Mr Trump's accounts.

The former president is accused of falsifying his business records by saying the payment was for legal fees. He's facing 34 counts of fraud under campaign finance laws, and has pleaded not guilty to all of them.

Of all people I knew you couldn’t provide an answer. Don’t embarrass yourself any further. You obviously have no clue about the supposed crime.

So it is campaign finance fraud? That’s it? Or are you going to change your mind tomorrow because you really don’t know what you are talking about today. Therefore this has nothing to do with today’s testimony about 2017 items matters since it is after the campaign. Thank you. And misclassifying an expenditure is not the issue. Thank you. NY law is not the crime mister as this is why Bragg needs to make it a federal crime attachment. Thank you. You are not addressing the simple fact that the prosecution has not clearly identified the federal crime to attach which would make trump guilty of whatever the prosecution is attempting to prove. You my good friend are the gullible one and the one who blindly believes your biased media sources. Try to answer the question specifically next time and not bring in all of the unrelated matters.

If it is that simple please share your knowledge so people dont need to read every page and irrelevant post. If it is that easy just do it or admit you can’t. It’s ok if you can’t because the prosecution can’t either.

wow, so much wrong there I don't know where to start.

if it was a federal crime, it wouldn't be in state court and state prosecutors do not prosecute federal crimes. can we agree on that?
