There’s two cogent arguments: (1) That the Western world must stop the aggression now, while it is still stoppable and before war engulfs the world. (2) there’s the isolationist arguments where the opinion is that the US needs to spend its money home, not abroad. Both arguments are fair debate, IMO (although I think history clearly teaches us isolationism doesn’t work). And then there’s the Russian propaganda that is and has always been contrived revisionism. I can’t see any use for that.
Mostly agreed. I’ll add that the first philosophy is not cut and dry, either. There is a healthy debate on how to stop Russian aggression before it manifests in worldwide conflict, and reasonable people can disagree there. On the second philosophy, reasonable people can disagree on where we draw that line. For instance, I fully support drawing the line at state-on-state conquest, such as we see here in Ukraine and have seen in the past with Iraq’s invasion of Kuwait and North Korea’s invasion of the South. But I find myself on the “isolationist” side of things when it comes to future acts of liberal interventionism into the domestic politics of other countries, no matter how vile. We should never again involve ourselves in adventures such as Iraq, Kosovo, Somalia, or Libya. Especially, if we just continue to sit here and watch Ukraine get gobbled up.
KIA ratio off the charts now in favor of Russia … Kiev regime losing more than a thousand soldiers per day on the front lines
@duggers_dad and @vegasfox: why are you so rah rah Russia? Why do you celebrate everything that makes the US look bad or makes Russia look good? Are you rooting for Russia to defeat Ukraine? If the US faced Russia directly, who would you root for? You remind me of the Vietnam war protesters who waived Viet Cong flags. You can disagree with US foreign policy without supporting the bad guy.
Liar simply can’t abide in the possibility that there may be two, or perish the thought, more, who dissent from Birchers like himself. This is the same poster who accused a friend of mine of lying about having been arrested, for not wearing a mask, then turned tail when invited to watch videos of her arrest.
⚔️ According to the BBC and Mediazona (a news outlet funded by the West and recognized as a "foreign agent" in Russia), the number of Russian casualties is now the lowest since the start of the Special Military Operation, with volunteer contract soldiers constituting the majority of the casualties.
I find this sort of perspective puerile. It’s like we’re allowed to protest a war as long as we maintain the nation we’re fighting is bad. At some point it’s advisable to grow up.
You’ve already said you were poster formerly known as “Dreamliner.” You’re blocked by many, but obviously have another moniker because you routinely respond to the very posts that block you(I give you an “A” for effort, there). But, you didn’t actually answer whether you’re also “Vegas,” or disclose your other posting monikers. Are you also Vegas Fox?
You haven’t “protested” the Ukrainian War, you’ve been cheering for Russia in the War, since the very beginning.
Refusing the leave a premises isnt refusing to wear a mask no matter how many rando facebook posts you google from over there.
