Was a good summary from independent source.

Thorough and enjoyable - thanks Rick.
Two separate references to the “turds” and the “shitheads” being gone — interesting.
Also note that this was evidently before we held our class together through the spring portal, and picked up Zan and McCloud. Encouraging

Agree 100%. That was great stuff, very objective and on point. Thanks Rick.

This year is going to be fun. I really like what Napier is doing and our program's direction.

Thanks, Rick - interesting comments about Napier teams being built with all around solid players and team mates and not around superstars

Who is this guy- really knows a lot about the Gators.

Great listen. Balanced. Did not overrate specific players. Hope Andy Jean starts to come on. My only concern with EWIII is durability. Napier has to be prepared for him to not be available and know what he will do in that event. LB, DL and maybe secondary sound like strengths.

See us winning 7 or more RS games.

I just saw Amir Jackson TE is not on roster. What happened to him? I do not recall him decomm'd or news he wouldn't be on the team.

You have to consider the source of that "rep..." But most of the time it's an honest mistake... slip of the keyboard... key. :D;)

I believe he hasn't enrolled yet so would not be on roster until he arrives on campus.

Good point... The teams that usually play best as a team are the ones that have talent at all positions, and superstars per se are not the only way to build a championship type team. I just hope our players gel and play like one unit. However... I do think we might have at least one or two superstars on our team already. We shall see this coming season. A team of individuals football players that play like one unit, plus superstars... is the best of both worlds.

Being built all around solid players = mediocrity....as in 7-5, 6-6, and, at best, 8-4.
Being built around all star players = championship contending...as in 10-2, at worst.

Our player rankings, per position over all, are much better now than they were when the last coach left Gainesville. Now this is where some super-geek comes out with the blue chip percentages and other statistical comparisons between this class and the last one before Napier.

We have some superstars on this team... and they are team players. What we do NOT have is individual stars out for their own "glory" on the football field.

Who has done that? Maybe Saban and maybe Smart. Urban and Spurrier didn't. Dabo, Jimbo, Chizik, Orgeron and Harbaugh didn't. I think you are proposing an unrealistic standard that isn't even necessary to win. Most championships are won with a super solid team and/or a fantastic qb.

Recruiting rankings are pointless once the players have exhausted their eligibility. The proof is in the draft that Mullen's recruiting was crap. Bringing up recruiting rankings after the fact is akin to bringing up TCU's 2022 preseason win O/U was 6.5, when we know now they made the national championship game.

Whenever I see posts like the one you are referencing, I think of how Boise St beat Georgia. Boise was a TEAM that played with great execution and heart. Yes, they had players...but not an all-star line up.

I'm talking about college football talent, not NFL talent. While it's almost always the same thing, in some cases young college superstars have been great in college but never transitioned into superstars at the NFL level. Now... ideally you want young men that end up being great in college and the NFL, for the sake of recruiting and bragging rights, but that does NOT always happen.

So right now... I will settle for college superstars here and there to fill in at positions of need on a cohesive team that plays like a single unit, the ultimate team of unselfish players. But, IMHO, team unity is what's most important in college football.

How would we know what a team composed entirely of "solid" players can do, especially based on the last three-plus seasons? Allow me to remind you that we just went through an NFL draft in which the only player taken was a first rounder brought in via the portal by the guy you are inferring has failed as a recruiter. Anyone who can't see the improvement in this roster or the potential for more than "mediocrity" with this young but talented team is seeing what they want to see - BN run out of town on a rail.
