You lost me on that one I heard that as well in that a state university has to take someone with an AA, but it might not be the university of choice. That said, I do believe that UF has agreements with certain community colleges (such as Sante Fe) to take their AAs, but you still might get the college or major that is desired. For example, the UF Mechanical Enginnering department is very difficult to transfer into as tranfers need a 3.8 or better in 8 classes such as calculus, physics, chemistry, etc
Fox is right. You are not guaranteed as an AA transfer. You have to transfer into a specific college and you have to fulfill their transfer requirements. Even if you fulfill the requirements, I know that most put you in a pool of applicants where you may or may not get selected. I don't know about the Sante Fe benefit but could be there.
Huge pick up. Not a guy that we would say "can provide depth", but a guy that may be a starter by mid season imo.
Didn’t know it was an old thing, but they apparently just changed it (again?) to guaranteed admission. This is according to the guidance counselor anyway, and she’s a pretty good one fwiw. Anyway, she very well might be admitted on her own merits. I reckon we’ll find it fairly soon.
