Me too Mikey been playing more quality ball lately. Still has ups and downs but defense alone keeps him and lineup and offensively he’s progressing.

Please keep Yost and Robertson in the lineup. We will look back at this year as one of the worst transfer classes we will ever had. Don't know if you can get any worse.

Another reason to keep him on the bench?

Albert has the 3rd best OB% on the team (Cags and Yost are 1-2). Robertson has the 14th best OB%.
He gets on base, Billy Beane doesn't care how he gets on

W is always good but... the game was ponderous and after a 1.5 hour weather delay (despite no rain nor lightning) could take no more than 5 innings. Fisher a disappointing outing. He seemed to be aiming some of his pitches-- like dart throwing. Had circled his start and going 3-4 solid innings as pivotal for getting his confidence on track and helping down the stretch but the result was poor. Our best pitcher of the night was Clemente- who has great movement on his FB and has had a few good outings of late although why he's not used more is one the mysteries on this team.

Pretty early to be drunk. Lots of strokes on the 19th hole after a bad day on the links?

    77—

As far as Clemente’s work load I would have to know a lot more about exactly where he’s at in his post TJ surgery throwing protocol. He’s obviously a power pitcher and the normal time frame for him to get back to true “game speed” is 24 months. The time between first starting to throw after surgery and getting back to true game speed is referred to as “getting your work in”.

This includes all of his side work, bullpens, and live games. The attention paid to pitch count work loads as well as time frames between each outing is monitored closely.

BTW—I’m just as impressed with Clemente as any of us are. Look forward to watching his future performances.

74, thanks-- always a source of quality insight that some of us may not have. Appreciate your take on what it takes coming back from TJ for a power pitcher- it has to be a serious grind and getting all the moving the parts to work in sync as before.

From what I saw Clemente’s control was all over the place during the fall and early in the season. He’s really sharpened up his last few outings though. I hope he gets a lot of opportunities down the stretch as he has earned it in my eyes.

Yes agree, he was coming off TJ and as 74 notes-- it's a grind geting back to form but the velo was always there although mechanics were not quite right. He had arm side run that was off the zone at times and also pulled some FB. Last outings have been solid and hope he can get more opps down the stretch.
