I suspect the more likely answer is, primarily, student loans and/or their rich parents. Camping on a college quad isn’t exactly a terribly pricey proposition.

These people actually disagree with Biden's foreign policy in relation to Israel. So, what you have is the uber rich and the power brokers of the left going against the current residing POTUS' foreign policy here. Nonetheless, I marvel at the group think involved in this: Anyone who disagrees with the MSM narrative is a MAGA fascist and a threat to democracy, even when that narrative has aligned with a group that is against our current sitting Democratic President and his foreign policy. And the richest irony of it all is these groups have even bullied and intimidated Jewish students on college campuses to the point where they don't feel safe on college campuses anymore, but, no they are not the fascists. I don't think Soros is involved. But I do think it is in bad form to go buy tents and camp out (when you have dorms), prevent Jewish students from entering academic buildings, and destroy parts of a university that has zero to do with Israel or Palestine, all the while demanding student loan forgiveness (and food to be delivered). Somehow all these mostly peaceful protests end in shit being destroyed. I also think it is bad form for the grossly militarized police to do anything on campus other than enforce access to the university to all people, regardless of whether they wear a kiyeefeh or yamulka. But go ahead and put me in that box in your head.
