It also could have something to do with Coach Dobbins changing her mechanics/delivery mid-season. A couple of people said several weeks ago that was being done. Maybe she's not completely adjusted.
Could be, but if you take away the two perfect games ( which are an accomplishment at any level) she was allowing 1.5 base runners per inning against the non conference teams. It has gotten worse in conference. I think there were indicators she was clearly behind the other two freshman from the beginning of the year.
Liv Miller’s speed has been consistantly 67-69 mph. Her change-up has been between 51-53 mph. At times she has been very good, but not consistant. In MHO she is having issues with location. She may do better as a starter than a releaver.
At the “First Pitch”event, Chelsey and Liv said the reinvention started in the fall. I think she’s trying to develop confidence in the changes. I think that the changes have increased her speed and her ability to throw her change up. I just wish she would’ve pitched more midweek than she did. The midweeks might have helped her with her confidence. I also got it from a good source this past weekend that Liv lost thirty pounds (30 lbs) during the fall.
We have it so good at KSP. I'm not going to call the Georgia stadium a dump, but no stadium should have Row #1, 12 feet above the playing field. No stadium should have the walking concourse *in front* of Row #1, meaning that all fans in the section have their view blocked when someone walks by. No stadium should have all GA seating, meaning that fans line up two hours early if they want a non-bleacher, chair-back seat. No stadium should have such insufficient parking that the police just close entry to the lots and there's nowhere to park nearby. No stadium should be located five miles from campus so students can't easily attend. OTOH, the Georgia fans are extremely knowledgeable and basically rabid (a good thing). Not only do they know the game, they knew *our* team in addition to their own. Nice people. Plus, entry is free, like the old days at KSP.
Priceless! This is Gator Softball Culture. Somewhere, I think on IG there was a story that mentioned the 2017 loss to OU in the WCWS. Amanda commented that she was not alright with that, and certainly not over it.
Honestly they all are having issues with location. It’s certainly not a talent or competitiveness issue. They might have simply been TOO good in high school/travel and just overpowered opposition. The predicted freshman hiccups are here lol. I do believe they all will be SOO much better going forward having all this experience and facing so much adversity so early in their careers!
lol....she blasted in and hit Cassidy on her injured shoulder and then she realized..."Oh, crap, what did I just do?"
OMG, I am getting old. Completely forgot that. Or maybe I really am a sunshine pumper and deleted last season from my brain.
Idk, that locker room looked pretty cool with Amanda Lorenz in it! Btw where’s the Amanda Lorenz anti Skylar guy?
