I was in the Orlando Arena watching us against Pitt in the subregional, and Scottie nailed a really long 3 as the first half ended. The dude was Mr. Clutch when you needed a basket.
Okay. You're entitled to your opinion. But you should have been there at the Orlando Arena to see the move he put on FSU. I've never seen a Gator EVER do anything remotely as jaw-dropping. Even David Copperfield would have been stumped by it. And Jason did it as a sophomore. In a gross miscarriage of basketball justice, the zebra couldn't reconcile what he'd just seen with his past experiences and called Jason for a travel. The replay showed he got it wrong. We were furious. Also, please take into account that the team surrounding Jason was nowhere near as talented as the teams surrounding Scottie and Zyon. Opponents could focus on stopping Jason.
2 things : He was called for a travel That’s a weak comparison of what Scott and Z had around him . Jason Williams got better with age but he was a turd at UF . He would tell ya that.
The travel call was wrong. Scott and Z DID have much better talent around them; I don't know why anyone would dispute that. And of course Jason got better. But he was still great in an abbreviated stint at UF.
Jason was really good but saying great is an injustice to Pullin Scott Moten Greene Cross and yes my friend it was called a travel… just like when I knew I threw for strike 3 and the blew missed , next pitch dinger .. when down as a HR not a K.
