Voting for Joe again is like someone repeatedly punching you in the face and you still ask for them to continue to do it!!!!

Under Trump the complaint was sky high unemployment, sky rocketing death rates, record deficits, record wealth destruction, insurrection, bribery. Under Joe the complaint is about fake burger prices. I love the smell of Desperation in the morning.

Same poster that just called me “elitist”, I recall mocked me be cause I discussed spending time researching vacation plans to find a great deal. The gist of this exchange was basically “lol, who researches vacations, are you poor”. My response was basically: “Adults”, who doesn’t have to plan their vacations? “Children”. Maybe the guy is living the baller life and has his personal assistant do all his family vacation planning, but then that wouldn’t exactly jive with complaining about the price of McDonalds.

I like the idea that poor people have so many options that they have to research vacations

#1. The burger is not $10, anywhere.
#2. Its supply and demand. If you keep eating their trash at a high price, they will keep raising said price.
#3. A grass finished pound of beef from whole foods cost less (on sale) than FOUR trash burgers at McD. It is likely healthier....and tastes 1000x times better.

Did you just say trash burger?
Hilarious. I ate at McDonald’s on Sunday and I’m still paying for it.
    Ugh.

You had to finance your burger because Joe Biden made it so expensive?

Yeah I do grill my own burgers since I can a 1lber for the same price. But, if I look around at the options, there aren't that many. My wife and I went to KFC for the 1st time since before the Pandemic and just about had a coronary over a 2 piece chicken meal that cost nearly $15. Before Biden, that very same meal was $7. So Whataburger has their #1, normal everyday Whataburger for $5.49, so yay. If I do make it a meal like I did before I went on Keto 3.5 years ago, it is no longer $7.35, but now just a few pennies less than $10. Taco Bell was another place my son and I would go to grab a bag full of a dozen or so goodies for less than $12, but now the same stuff costs $20. You have to shop these days and yep, give up your usual if the price gets too high. KFC is off the menu forever and McDonalds has been to for many decades although I still like their coffee and occasional egg mcmuffin.

Since this is an inflation thread, I'll start with Trump's stated policies as a major problem. Tariffs are inflationary, as costs are pushed along to the consumer. Trump has stated he also wants to devalue the dollar, which too would be inflationary. Last, but certainly not least, we are in a labor supply crunch, and Trump has stated he wants to deport millions of undocumented immigrants; 8 million of which are already in our labor force. Labor shortages are also inflationary. Can anyone explain to me how these stated Trump policy goals will help inflation? Or, will they all hurt inflation, and potentially cause in an inflation spiral?

And it's not like Trump has any more "adults in the room," to curb his worse impulses. Not only will they not be a part of a second Trump admin, many have openly stated they will not vote for him! Let me ask you this, would you hire a CEO if the majority of his former employees have come out and said he's the worst boss they have ever worked for, and will never work for him again?

What's worse is with Lara Trump the head of the DNC, and Don Jr. with Eric leading Trump's transition team, no only will there be no adults in the room, everyone will fall on their knees and do Trump's bidding.

And that's scary, especially when you consider Trump's character, or significant lack thereof. What kind of sleazebag sleeps with porn stars when his third wife is pregnant? Then consorts with tabloid magazine to catch and kill the story? And worse, Trump uses campaign finances to pay off the porn star and lies about it, writing it off as a legal expense? Please tell me, what kind of person would want this as an example of good leadership?

But this is just the beginning of Trump's legal troubles. He also fostered an insurrection and illegally kept top secret, sensitive documents for himself. Classified leaks happen, but usually when they happen, people with integrity work with the Feds to return them poste haste. Like Pence and Biden. But Trump? He lied about returning them, told his lawyers to lie for him, and moved the documents so they would be harder to find! Can you please explain to me why this is acceptable? And why Trump isn't a national security risk?

If re-electing Biden is getting punched in the face repeatedly and asking for more, it's still 1000X better than anything Trump. 100,000X better.

Sometimes you just want a McD's burger or Taco Bell. It's like a 2 or 3 time a year thing for me when I'm in a hurry and need to grab a quick bite. The quarter was most definitely $10+.

I think some of you would do well not to speak in absolutes on certain matters, as McD's has gone to a franchise model and various locations have some autonomy in what they charge for McD's menu items. It's not as if McD's corporate mandates a set standard cost across a region for a quarter pounder.

And I'm sorry, but you can't beat a Mc'D coke. Tell me where you can get one better. They juice that shit with something real good. Stop hating on McD's. It's not their fault Biden exponentially drove up the cost of processed beef.
