I think Haugh is plenty bouncy and tough enough to play PF in the SEC. He should continue to fill out naturally as well. Ideally, we could find a 6'7" SF with a sweet stroke.

    So he's a stretch 4?
    That's no stretch.

I think if Haugh fills out a bit, he might be the kind of player you are describing here (esp. wrt the D Lee comparison). He'd be giving up 30+ lbs to David Lee. And what about guarding players like Broome or Tolu Smith? Don't get me wrong, I love his potential. I just see him as more of a three than a four in the SEC.

I think the gators see Alexis as a 4 who can play 5 in a pinch. But he is short for a 5 in SEC. My guess is he starts game 1 as a 4. I know they really believe Chinyelu can improve and maybe be a real player at the 5. I just think he is super raw especially offensively and think we would basically be playing 4vs 5 on offense with him in other than as a lob threat in ball screen action and as a offensive rebounder.

This is completely overlooked. The core of Condon, Haugh, Richard, Clayton, and Aberdeen could be much better than people realize. They should give us a very high floor.

I can’t believe there is even a discussion about this roster not being a tourney team.

Appears to have a good collection of size and talent. All will depend on the PG position, IMO

That is derived by dividing the % you hate it based on what time of day, what sport, and weather conditions multiplied by a factor of 0.75900137 to get the hate coefficient. It’s then compared against the scores of all other sports fans to derive your True Hate Percentage.

We still need a true, proven point guard. Assist to turnover ration of Martin & Clayton are not good. Pullin was special.

Just finished watching. Always come away impressed hearing our coach speak. Charismatic, intelligent, empathetic, cool, candid. Stricklin finally got one right

Yep. I love the guy. I believe him when he says we just got better. Of course, this is under the assumption that Clayton and Richard are on the roster.

I loved hearing about how hard Condo, Hawk and Aberdeen are working already….have a feeling Condo is going to be a monster inside next year

Long way to go. Maybe the Wash State 3. Golden said we want a front court guy and a guard/perimeter player. How you define those two could vary widely, haha.

I think Clayton had an awful stretch, then improved considerably, then regressed at the end. The improved stretch proved he can be efficient/value posessions with the ball.

I imagine that our scoring (86 ppg) will take a hit, but hopefully the D (79 ppg last year) will more than make up for the lower scoring. Need to get the points given up in the 60s and we'll be fine.

it's great that we've added some defensive pieces, but what concerns me so far about this roster is how reliant we're going to be on Clayton (43.3%/36.5% on 3s), Martin (41.3%/33.8% on 3s) and Richard (41.1%/ 34.5% on 3s) for most of our starters' scoring. Unless we see a big jump offensive jump from Haugh or Condo, or Chinyelu and Alexis bring more offense than I think, we're going to be a hot and cold team on offense all year. That's if both Clayton and Richard are back.

Relying on 3 streaky guys that shot 43% or less, with at least one or two as first time primary ball-handlers, this could be a very inconsistent season on the offensive end. Hopefully our increased focus on defense and defensive rebounding will lead to more fast break opportunities and easy buckets.
