I fairly regularly listen to The Promised podcast, hosted by Noah Efron. It's from Israel even though it's in English, although they play songs in Hebrew. There was a brief segment a couple of weeks ago in which the hosts, who I would estimate to be regularly in their 50s, have many friends both in Israel and among the Diaspora who are shocked and dismayed that their own children seem to express sentiments that would have been unthinkable a few years ago. The younger generation, worldwide, may not simply accept the Palestine exception to free speech. It may not make any difference ultimately, but we would be blind to suggest that it is not a wide based phenomenon. The official description of the show: An inside view of how Israel can warm your heart and make your blood boil. It’s a show by three folks who live in and love Israel even though it drives them crazy, and who each week discuss the latest in Israeli politics, culture and society. Send in the cops. That has made things so much better. It's not like throwing cops at the problem has caused this thing to blow up. Exactly. Unless they threaten other students or engage in violence, ignore them. They'll be gone for the summer soon.
Would be quite a statement if UF sent in the cops to allow a Nazi to speak but to crush a bunch of kids camping out to protest genocide
