Lol, I have no clue what a foul is in the NBA this post season. How this image below isn't a foul, yet Murray barely gets bumped on a drive in the final minute and a foul.

Lakers look cooked; Clippers look promising.

Only NBA games I've watched the last several years were due to watching curry and now Jokic. Just don't enjoy the new game although seeing someone as proficient at the 3 like curry was worth tuning in for. Jokic is just fun to watch. Not that his game is flashy save for the occasional brilliant pass but watching him let the game come to him as he subliminally builds a ridiculous stat line like last night's 27, 20 and 10.

The last quarters of the Knicks game and the Lakers game last night were unbelievable. The combination of extraordinary talent and extraordinary effort on both ends of the court make for phenomenal basketball.

Which is why I wonder why that foul was called in the final minute vs LA. Saw a lot more contact go uncalled throughout the first round.

It was a foul, but I agree that it was not the kind of significant contact we usually see before a whistle near the end of a playoff game. That said, cry me a river, Lakers and LeBron, who get the benefit of the doubt on calls more than any other team and player in the league. Stats from Bleacher Report:

“Over the [last] two years combined, the Lakers have taken 983 more free-throw attempts than their opponents. The second-place Miami Heat are at plus-386.”

“The Nuggets have now beaten the Lakers in 10 straight regular-season and postseason games. Monday was the first time during the streak in which Denver (which got 17 free-throw attempts) took more freebies than L.A. (which had 13).”

Do LeBron James, Lakers Have a Legitimate Gripe About Officiating Against Nuggets?

Pulling for Lebron/Lakers, so it's been a little painful. I had kind of a good feeling about the Lakers chances in Game 2 after watching Game 1, but it didn't quite pan out as hoped. :(

Murray has been amazing in clutch situations the past couple of years. A lot of supposedly clutch players from the past didn't actually have good clutch numbers, but I've got a feeling Murray's clutch shooting percentages are up there.

Nuggets have a great starting five. I was disappointed when the Lakers lost KCP, and it's come back to bite them (IMO) last year and so far this year. That guy makes a lot of positive plays and not many negative ones (as he did when he helped the Lakers win their last championship).

I'm hoping the other Lakers - besides LeBron and Davis who are playing well - will step up bigger and help turn the tide. Not looking good, but I always recall the Bill Walton-led Trailblazers falling behind 2-0 to the star-studded Dr. J-led 76ers in 1977, and then - much to my dismay - storming back to win the next 4 games for the championship.

They need D-Lo to continue his play from Game 2 and they need Reeves to show up as well at home. They also need Rui and Dinwiddie to give them something as well.

Wish Jimmy Butler was healthy for the Heat, this series would be really interesting if he was.

Semi unrelated, but a great story about Ernie Johnson and the TNT folks.

Thanks for sharing. What a great story. EJ is one of the good guys for sure. I remember years of listening to his dad do Braves games. Sports announcers project a persona so that it's hard to tell how real they are. For Ernie Sr. you could tell there was a kindness about him that you can't fake. The apple doesn't fall far from the tree.
