Smart has already commented on the need for ETN to improve his blocking and he’s seeing progress. Guess we’ll see in a few months.
Don't worry, he is a very unselfish player. He will always put the team first and sacrifice his body and make the block.
The thing about Rashada that nobody seems to get is, this was the staff's #1 choice for QB. So much for evaluations.
Out side of the DLine, You still need the RB to be able to identify blitzes and actually block blitzing LB'ers, safeties and cornerbacks that come free. Let's not pretend that keeping your QB alive isn't a critical component to the job
But when we were recruiting him we were still a ways off from getting Lagway so that might have had something to do with wanting him.
Well if you're looking for something that stands out in his play that separates him from his competition.... than its got to be his horrendous blocking attempts. It certainly can't be his stats because they are equal/similar to his competition. He wasn't a big vocal leader in the huddle, he certainly didn't carry this team when needed so we talk about the main thing that stands out among him and his other RB's teammates and you in your feelings?
Battling scUM among other high profile programs for a guy that was even at the time arguably just decent and likely not built to take the pressure of 300lb DL flattening him. We dodged a bullet. Wonder if our collective had to pony up some money behind the scenes. Probably, it was dissolved shortly after the event concluded.
All true, just trying to put some perspective on WHY we were recruiting him so hard. Definitely dodged a bullet but for some reason or another recruiting isn't an exact science.
He may not be so bad. Georgia has interest. He was more than likely cut loose for jabbing us for cash than talent and if money is the number one priority, it’s a bad sign usually for the kid. Grind and win football games and the money will always be there. These primadonnas often have it backwards and they fail to ever reach their potential.
He won't see a down in the NFL if he can't block. The QB is way too important and way too much money tied up in him.
UConn’s Dan Hurley avoids certain kinds of parents and recruits If he is being honest then Dan Hurley wouldn't touch a recruit like Rashada or Etienne for that matter. With kids making money (above board now) I Imagine families may become an even bigger problem regarding negotiations than before.
Odd pick for uga. Good luck to him. I think they are too talented at the moment and will be again after next class. Doesn't seem likely that if he couldn't make it in Arizona, he will fare much better in the SEC.
