The day you post this about a gay reporter harassed at a conservative rally, or a black reporter harassed at a white power rally I will believe you are consistent in your beliefs. Meantime, semi unrelated, but kinda cool.
What 'beliefs' are you even talking about? If you are going to a protest whether its to participate, observe, disrupt, provoke or whatever, you are taking a risk.
At this point I’m pretty sure the story was cover up, and the author in fact stabbed a Palestinian protestor in the eye with an Israeli flag. Too be fair being stabbed in the eye with a flag doesn’t sound particularly painful, which is probably why we never heard about it from the beleaguered protestors. “Every accusation is a confession”
I am talking about the fact that your view of what happened seems strangely aligned with your view of the larger issue, which indicates a bias. The only way we would know for sure is if the same happened to someone who you support. I have said I am open to the idea she embellished it, if it comes to pass the we can have that discussion. It doesn't change the larger discussion as the other stuff I am posting shows, and you have made no such similar allowance. But that’s all for me on this, I could post dozens more instances (Ohio State students chanting they don’t want Zionists there, Columbia chanting death to Zionists, signs urging Hamas to attack the US on that campus), some just don’t seem to want to care, even if history shows time and again what happens when Jewish hatred is allowed to fester.
Good grief this is about the worst take I’ve ever seen on here. Her eye was just in the wrong place at the wrong time.
Hah! All you Right-wing agitators have been exposed by higator ( I think the name is likely apt ) and now the Jews can be shuffled off to various "safe spaces" on or nearby the campuses where they attend school. These will be called "ghettos" - nothing to see here folks, nothing at all. Sounds like none of these schools have a history department.
At this point there’s nothing to suggest the story is true. Certainly nothing to suggest she was “stabbed in the eye” and nothing to show she was even poked in the eye (no pics of injured eye) and even if she was nothing to suggest it was intentional. The whole story is BS clickbait.
What the actual …. I don’t men this as an insult but you are a disturbed person. I hope this is your cry for help.
It may well be but you didn’t know that when you made your first post in the thread, you blamed her for having poor situational awareness. That post stands on its own regardless of where the thread went from there. So I’ll reiterate, it was a horrific first take.
I think its fair to ask why someone that wasn't there to participate in the protest was standing close enough to get hit by a flag in the first place.
I have no idea what happened due to the suspect reporting sources. If someone intentionally struck her, that person should both be criminally prosecuted and disciplined by the school, if a student. I find the lack of any videos curious. Certainly, Yale has a system of surveillance cameras in place. One would also think there would be a law enforcement presence during a protest of that size and those officers would be equipped with BWCs.
Columbia already "took action," and it made things worse. You can't be serious. Students are peacefully protesting, so they moved an event to another building to prevent a confrontation from happening. And people are trying to claim they're being victimized by that? Give me a break.
