If you want to go to heaven you must follow their preachings. That is the only way. Follow the other religion, do not get in. 10k foot level view

True insofar as Christianity and Islam are concerned, not so with Judaism. Although there are slight differences in translation, the belief in Judaism as to who goes to heaven is summed up the following sentence:
"The pious of the nations of the world have a portion in the world to come."

I would also add that in modern Judaism there is much less emphasis on the afterlife than there is in other religions or even older interpretations of scripture within Judaism. It is also my understanding that while under a strict interpretation of Christian scripture non-believers (those who do not accept Jesus) are doomed to eternal hell and damnation there are some modern Christian theologians who support the "dual covenant" theory under which righteous Jews may also go to heaven. The basis for that belief is that the Covenant between G-d and the Jewish people is as valid as the Covenant between G-d and Christians through Jesus. Conservative Christian theologians frequently demean the dual covenant theory as an attempt at political correctness not based on scripture.

I always understood this to mean that the “world to come” is when the Messiah arrives. I did not understand the passage to mean a heaven the way Christians believe in heaven.

So the 67% of the world that is neither religion is doomed? Or one must meet the criteria to be judged pious and then your religion doesn't matter?

Israel knocked out an S-300 missile defense system . . . with a missile. Just when you think the international valuation of Russian missile defense systems couldn't get any lower, this happens. It's a wonder the Russians can sell any of their military hardware, as poorly as it has performed in the last couple of years.

Israel’s attack on Iran ‘took out’ Russian-made air defence system

Wonder if it was even operational or perhaps a sacrifice? The bomb used has a published 190 mile range so planes had to get that close. Good targeting to send a message

Israel hit Iran with a half-ton supersonic 'Rampage' missile, report says (msn.com)

While it remains unclear what weapons were used in the strike, Kan reported that Israel used a "Rampage" air-to-surface missile, claiming it was identified in photos and that damage caused by the attack was consistent with a Rampage strike, per The Times of Israel.

The Rampage missile was designed by Israel Aerospace Industries (IAI) for use against targets such as "communication and command centers, air forces bases, maintenance centers and infrastructure," according to the company's website.

The company describes the missile, which weighs 1,250 pounds, as "a long-range, air-to-ground, seekerless, precision strike weapon." It has the ability to fly at 1,250 mph with a range of up to 190 miles.

It can be fired from an aircraft or as a stand-alone system and uses GPS/INS guidance navigation and anti-jamming capabilities, it adds.

US set to sanction an entire IDF battalion with a history of alleged human rights abuses on the West Bank, report says (msn.com)

Secretary of State Antony Blinken is expected to announce sanctions against the Netzah Yehuda battalion for alleged human rights violations in the occupied West Bank.

It would be the first time the US has imposed sanctions on an Israeli military unit. The battalion is composed of over 900 soldiers.

The news of the possible sanctioning of the IDF unit came as the House of Representatives on Saturday passed a bill that includes more than $14 billion in military aid to Israel as well as $9 billion in humanitarian assistance, much of which will go to Gaza.

The unprecedented sanctions will prohibit the battalion and its members from receiving US military assistance or training.

what a sad pathetic life orange and bluke must have to follow me around and post negative ratings on posts he can't see. I think he must have an alert for every new post I make so he can rate it before someone else posts and it no longer shows for him.

That's the system glitch. He can't read your post, but he can see that you posted and has the ability to rate it...a tremendous sense of power. FLgator2 does that, too.

Israel apparently planned a much bigger retaliation for Iran's attack, but their allies talked them out of it.
