I am actually far from an expert on Macro & monetary econ. I am a micro guy. My wife is. I think the general consensus is that it was primarily caused by commodity prices, supply chain issues, years of loose monetary policy (world wide) & fiscal stimulus boosting demand. tight labor mkts seem to be contributing to its persistence.

 

It’s really just a moron tax. And you know they’ll just keeping eating them.

 

Damn. y'all are fancy. My go to "store bought" burger is the Circle K jalapeno cheese burger - usually 2 for $6. I've always been a gas station connoisseur. Allsups in W. Tx & NM is a fav.

 

I don't know what the hell is going on considering that a Quarter Pounder with Cheese at my local McDonald's in $5.79.

He probably was talking about the price of the meal, which is $10.54 according to mcdonaldsprices.com. That is still a lot of money. 4 years ago the price of a Quarter Pounder With Cheese Meal was $7.89. So the price of a Quarter Pounder With Cheese Meal has increased by roughly $2.65 during the Biden presidency.

I'll go with lying, and would note that in any event he knows nothing about economics. Neither do I for that matter, but I do know Presidents have little control over inflation.

 

My company has raised prices by 40% and it has had zero to do with Biden.

 

Now give us the price from 6 years ago

 

And four years ago he was making $8/hr, now he's making $11/hr ... you have to factor that in, too.
