The bill will not prevent the collapse of the Kyiv regime - and the realization of Moscow’s aims that could have been achieved with bloody conflagration - so I’m assuming it’s a stopgap measure to keep Ukraine hanging in until November.
As long as Russia occupies any of Ukraine, Ukraine has the right to attack high value targets in Russia. I’d like to see at least a stalemate where Russian soldiers and equipment are eliminated by the thousands and Ukraine attack of Russian infrastructure until Russia gives up.
US can print money, but it can’t print more artillery and manpower for a regime that is suiciding its country.
“He was torn between trying to save his job and do the right thing,” House Foreign Affairs Chairman Michael McCaul, Republican - Texas. “I want to be on the right side of history,” McCaul recalled the speaker telling him. It’s reminiscent of Pence. At the end he showed spine and did what is right and stood up to maga nonsensical logic. Hopefully it’s not too late.
So, I am curious. Other than attempt to defend the sovereignty of his nation against foreign aggression led by a fascist dictator who controls the purse strings to Trumps empire, what else has Zelensky done to offend the Putin-loving Republicans?
Her official FB page is taking a beating, it's hilarious. Not sure it's enough to lose the meth head bloc that helped get her into office, we will see.
It's astounding. One doesn't want to always just do the 'Trump cult' comments, etc., but you've quoted such a perfect example of not just how actual facts don't matter....but how it's acceptable to the right to construct an absolute opposite world, where the literal opposite of reality becomes their reality. You're quoted poster has stated how Zelensky kills his political opponents. MTG has publicly called him a Nazi. We're supposed to attempt to understand or build a common ground with such people? It's enough to refrain from constantly mocking them. At this point, all we can really do is enjoy the show. Because it's truly fascinating.
I think that's about it, Trump was using Ukraine for two purposes, first to attack his political opponent with fake corruption charges as described by Parnas's testimony to Congress. Secondly, to facilitate Putin's aggression in Ukraine by eroding confidence in NATO and attempting to withhold military aid. Win-win for Trump and Putin, disaster for Democracy.
He didn’t help Trump out looking for Hillary server and didn’t get him dirt on Hunter when asked, and just by association was on the other side of the “perfect call” that lead to Trump’s impeachment.
He failed to fabricate the nonsense Trump wanted on Hunter and he was on the other side of the phone call in which Trump tried to extort him to obtain said nonsense. Those are Zelensky's "crimes."
