Napier has no one to blame but himself for the current narrative. Most of these issues are items he should have had better control of. There were at least 2 more wins for the taking last year that were missed due to on-the-field blunders/coaching. Win those two and the narrative would be completely different. Or even lose those two while looking well coached and the narrative is different. He has been his own worst enemy at times.
Napier definitely has some of the blame on his plate but it goes a lot deeper than just Napier for the last two years. If you don’t see that, well, you might want to look a little closer
The only sure-fire way of shutting some mouths or changing some narratives is winning more FB games. I hope we can do it. Like, duh.
My narrative or not, it’s the narrative that is currently out there. We were making high-school level mistakes on the field last season that led to losses. The coaching appeared to be disorganized with a lack of attention to detail on special teams, whether that is true or not. The product put on the field last year wasn’t acceptable, and has caused a lot of the noise headed into this season. Win next year and/or put out a competent product, and the narrative will change.
Sadly, I also believe that this is true. I'm becoming a nuttin but net fan. The posters over there are way more knowledgeable about the team and coaches overall, and don't bitch one percent as much. Most of the neg heads who constantly whine on this board are completely clueless. One offensive play doesn't succeed and our coaching staff and players are all idiots, etc., etc., blah blah blah. It's sickening.
Yes, sickening. Despite the encouraging results, one offensive play goes south and completely clueless fans are whining and calling out players.
Only if that national media source gets a wild hair to bring UGAG down. If there is no desire or pressure because the powers that be like having ga at the top, then it won't happen. Most national media didn't like having UF at the top during our run. I've even heard national media talking about "college football is better when FSU is in the mix". Don't recall them ever saying that about us.
Sounds a lot like reckless driving and public endangerment, coupled with fleeing and eluding which in the state of Georgia means 30 days in jail and a fine of no less than $1000, this crime is a high and aggravated misdemeanor which means that the accused will have to serve the entire jail-sentence in custody without the possibility of receiving 2 for 1 credit. Combine that with the reckless driving, public endangerment and the DUI he should be looking at some rather serious problems but since he is a one-dimensional RB who has yet to play a down with one of the nation’s biggest football programs (IE: a special person not subject to the same rules as the rest of us) they are just going to look the other way on all that stuff. After all, when has that type of behavior by an athlete actually ever hurt or killed anyone?
AND....he's only been in Athens for a few months so he obviously learned to be a drunk while at Florida. It's all Napier's fault!
