I like being 5 deep in the froncourt instead of four deep. We saw what happened when Micah went down. With that wingspan, he just needs to perfect the Vernon Macklin hook shot and he would be a major force on the offense as well as defense.

We've got great pieces to work with!
Haugh will be one to watch for sure. If he gets a little better with ballhandling in traffic and can get his 3s and free throws falling, he might grab the starting job at the 3 and never let it go. But Will Richard won't give it up without a battle and we need him on the floor as well.
    Good problems to have.

No problem with PGs named Fred Smith but you'd rule out bigs from Nigeria, Senegal, Mali or Sudan?

Would be amazing, but what’s the basis for your optimism?

a few things...the quote from @bullish, "the doctor told him he was lucky and the break wasn’t as bad as originally thought...three months of rehab...he would be ready for the season...", the fact that he's walking without a boot (more the type of injury but still), the fact that he's a 20-year old athlete that likely heals faster and bounces back faster than most (muscle memory, injured at the end of season/at time in top shape), he's a very positive hard-working guy, it's only April and that's still 6 months away. His injury was now over a month ago (33 days). My guess based on all of the above is he'll start proper rehab as early as June, perhaps in the pool even earlier...which would give him 2 months to start drills and running again (end of summer S&C), one on one drills in Sep and ready for practice in Oct

Keeping in mind 1. I'm no doctor and haven't seen his x-rays or know anything specific 2. I'm predicting there will be no setbacks 3. this is all just guesswork...and fingers crossing...but I think he'll be back by October

and why not be optimistic :)

didn't we grab a 3 in the Portal?
The practices are going to be epic for the bigs, that is a lot of talent.

You may be thinking of Alex Lloyd who just committed, he is a 2/3 but is a HS recruit!

Gives him plenty of time to practice ft shooting. Imagine us getting all these tall guys, funny how MW didn't seem to find many.

And won't be on the roster until Fall, 2025. Still has a senior season to play in high school.

I've seen at least a half dozen reports from people that have seen him walking around without a limp and either without the boot or carrying it around with him. And I have seen posts from people inside the program that are quite optimistic re his health

Funny, I see "Junior Commit" I just assumed it was a College Junior transfer, didn't even cross my mind a HS kid. These are the times!

We're all hoping that Will Richard will be much more consistent next year. Where he went, we often went as a team.
