I’m going with muted TV and WRUF radio today. Maybe that damn Whistler won’t be so prevalent. (How pi$$ed would you be if you were a season ticket holder up here and that SOB’s seat was right next to you!) Also hoping that we play some good baseball today.
I’m going to say something that might get some responses… HAVE to hit early. Always being down 2-0 or 3-0 early just doesn’t work. Pitching was excellent yesterday. We gave them 3 runs. The third was on the routine fly to left in which we allowed a guy on second to move to third, and he scored on the very next play. Two of the five runs yesterday should be unearned and the third run on the tag up on routine fly should have never happened. Hoping for some lineup changes today as yesterday. The lack of quality at bats may have been the worst I’ve seen this year. Oh geesh, I just realized I said the pitching was excellent yesterday… But when I think back, I think it was really really good specially when you consider poor defense.
We are at three or a four seed right now traveling to Florida State. We get swept this weekend and we will be not projected in.
I mentioned in yesterday’s game thread something to the effect of Kurland bunting his way out of his slump… At Chipola Ellis Dungan used the same tactic on one of our starters to the point that during a game (after a few successful bunts) the player called time and walked down to the third base coaching box and asked “Coach, what’s the hit away sign again?”…….
This is the day Cags goes for the consecutive home run record! …and also it appears the team is playing a game against Vanderbilt.
I love it. Sully gives guts a lot of leeway and it might be time to send a message. Cade’s bat making any kind of contact is needed.
would be a shame for this team, not to make the tournament even as a four or three seats somewhere with the best college baseball players the game has seen in years.
They're very pretty. Painted Bunting Photos and Videos for, All About Birds, Cornell Lab of Ornithology
I'll be leaving the baseball game at 4 to watch UF gymnasts try to win a national title against LSU, Cal & Utah. It's on ABC.
