ASu just received their penalties from the recruiting scandal, and now, Rashada has entered the transfer portal. Of all schools Georgia was the one connected to Rashada. Saw him in limited action at ASu last year. Very good athlete with a decent arm, but extremely raw. Would lock into receivers and struggled reading defenses. If the first read wasn't open, he'd either force it or run. The athletic potential is there, but not sure if Rashada has the head to succeed at the college level.
Carson Beck has the lock on the QB job for the 2024 season. Rashada will need to have a lot of improvement is he wants to start in 2025.
Do not see why georgia would wants a raw unproven QB on roster. Odd. Etienne, I can see. But Rashada?
Every time a kid is considering UF and UGA he can say UF pulled his NIL offer at the last minute with no opportunity to secure another NIL deal. Don’t go there. ETN says UF was not developing me, don’t go there. I’m sure our OG transfer to FSU had plenty to do with our recent OL recruit decommit. Has already said their S&C program was far superior
These kids will say anything whether it is supported or not. Etienne could say we weren’t developing him, when in fact maybe he wasn’t developing with adequate coaching. Lord knows he wasn’t pass blocking, yet Johnson has no issues with the same skill with the same coach. The last person I’m going to listen to is a person that demonstrates no loyalty and only speaks “the truth” as they see it after they’ve quit on their teammates.
And just to add on to this good post- it's just human nature to have that confirmation bias. If a player transfers- then of course the new is > than the old. He can't admit otherwise- else he looks foolish. But everyone is like this- not just players.
Sure but a much better OL will mask his poor blocking, and a defense that can play defense won't leave the offense hanging out to dry with an L after scoring 30 points. It's 2024, football players are no longer student athletes and don't care even a little bit about the school. This is their first employer. It's like working at Walmart. Why work at Walmart if Publix will pay you $1 more an hour and is cleaner. Do you similarly get aggravated with employees who leave for more money? The time for fans of schools is dying. It's time for fans of points, sports betting and sitting out games like a child with a tantrum. Guy is just trying to maximize his income. I do the same at my job.
It is as old as time itself - whores always go home with the the highest paying John. CFB has become what I have feared.
UGA developed Etienne's ability to know who to call first when you get pulled over. Rashada is a great athlete but lacking what it takes to do things that make a quarterback great at this time.
