Trans people are ... gasp! ...people! Not all people are the same. There are mentally ill trans people too. Add to that the immense frustration of not being accepted for who you are. They didn't even do it, the system actually worked. Maybe CNN doesn't think their sexuality matters enough to mention it. They are after all a liberal leaning news organization. No one would do that. That would be like taking away a woman's right to her own decisions when it comes to her body.
Maybe he just hated the lesbian that ran off with his wife. Not sure, he didn't seem to really want to talk about it.
Sure you can own an automatic weapon, a suppressor, a hundred round mag..... But can you own a functioning nuclear weapon???? No!!!! Gov't overreach!!
You can carry in a bar in Florida if you don't mind commiting a crime. It is against the law to carry a weapon in a bar or sit in the bar area of a restaurant with a weapon in Florida. Also it is against the law to carry your gun into a school or government building.
Makes sense. Since everything is "not perfect", we should let people frequently of high school age buy high powered rifles. And we should let college kids open carry with zero required training. And why on Earth would we need background checks for private sales? In fact, why do we need any rational laws at all? After all, everything is not perfect....
Was that changed recently in the gun grab you talk about? In Georgia it was changed so that now you can carry in most of those places. In other words, a loosening of gun regulations.
No, it has been that way as long as I can remember. The thing they changed in Florida was you don't need a license to conceal carry. That is NOT something I am in favor of. They did not pass open carry and I am happy they didn't, only a idiot would open carry in my opinion. Even with the new law I will keep my CC license as it is recognized by some states and there is no waiting period for buying a handgun in Florida if you have one. I don't have a problem with laws prohibiting felons from having firearms. I have a problem with people outlawing guns that they know nothing about or restricting magazine size. Many would love to prohibit semi auto rifles and have said so. Of course they are afraid of the bad looking black guns even though semi auto rifles have been sold to the public since at least 1905 when Remington started selling the pre model 8.
They're definitely coming. They're going to take away all the guns, just like Obama did. Meanwhile, of course, since none of that is going to happen, we're just going to see repeated huge amounts of gun violence. And school shootings.
I hope they will continue to fail but "they" will continue to try. The future is easy to see just follow what states like California have done and continue to do with no regard for the second amendment or the courts rulings. Anyone that pretends many on the left would not like to appeal the second amendment has been living in a hole somewhere.
I appreciate the response, nice to see an actual thought out statement and not a quippy one liner or meme. I keep my cc for same reason in GA, for the rare time I carry in other states. But, as you point out in FL, the gun laws have gotten less restrictive, not more. That is happening much more across the country. Yes, semi autos have been around forever, but those didn't have 50 or 100 round mags and bump stocks. I'm probably one of the few people here that legitimately hunt with an AR (cull wild hogs on my property) and my largest mag is 15 rounds. I could prob get by with a 10 rounder 90% of the time.
When you have a portion of society ignoring that transgenders have severe mental illness and blaming normal folks for not being more accepting you create a subset of angry and in some cases dangerous folks on both sides.
