Argentina wants to join NATO

Yeh .... someone should tell them they border on the South Atlantic .... far South Atlantic!!

Forget NATO ... merge it with any other nation that wants to join the "Good Civilized Guys Organization of States".

 

They certainly do but I’m not sure how them joining NATO would accomplish that. NATO doesn’t want them enough to make the UK cede the islands and joining would mean there would be no way for Argentina to get them back short of the UK voluntarily handing them over.

 

Maybe come paranoid CT about one of their neighbors attacking them and they want NATO membership to stave that off? Did not have this on my 2024 bingo card.

We (The U.S.A.) started NATO, so America is the North America entity in that acronym. NATO can change it's bylaws with a pen and a phone call...

 

So Argentina identifies as North American now?
