He's not as polished, but he reminds me a lot of Brad Beal. He can drive and finish at the basket. He's a very good 3pt shooter. He's also a sneaky good rebounder as a guard. He needs work defensively (what freshman doesn't), but he's a great fit for our style of play. Love this pick up.
Alex Lloyd has always dreamed of representing his home state at the college level and after an official visit to Florida, the four-star combo guard from Fort Lauderdale made that a reality, announcing his pledge to the Gators on Wednesday afternoon. He's the No. 46 ranked player in the junior class. "Having the name Florida on my chest when I was a child," Lloyd told Swamp247, "I feel like I can be a part of something that is bigger than myself and Florida is the place to do it." Wow...On3 was way off on this one thinking Dayton was gonna get him.
Looks like a good player that wants to be a Gator, but a lot can happen. We have had several HS Juniors commit over the years that "blow up" over the summer and then go elsewhere.
I hope that you’re right. If so, we are getting a really good player, and he won’t be coached by Mike White.
At this stage of his development, those are impressive numbers. Absolutely perfect fit for two guard given what Golden wants to do.
Yep. I expect Clayton Jr. to be back this season, and that Lloyd will get good minutes the following season in Clayton's absence and eventually be a starter. I haven't seen his video but it sounds like they have similar games.
