Yes I agree but man, this place is still no where close to the cesspool of negativity that the other sites are...which is sad.
LOL. If you only knew what I've accomplished in my life. But I'm not gonna waste my time listing them for a true loser.
Speaking for myself only, as a fan, it was clear to me, immediately after the season, that UF was going to retain Billy Napier as head coach. So, as a fan (a fan that actually LIKES the Gators), the only appropriate course was to put 23 in the rear view mirror and support the program with positive posting(s) about the coming season. I just don't see the point in going all negative going into 24's Miami contest, constantly rehashing the negative. I get it, it's a message board and all the "I know more than the coaches crowd" want to piss and moan ad infinitum. So be it. They can do their thing, I will do mine. I do appreciate you Candy, I appreciate Doc's positive threads, and I think the young men that are Gators that are busting their tails deserve some respect.
I think Gator Nation expects Special Teams to be "good", defined as: Flipping the field wth the punting unit. Making FG's especially in Critical Situations (Arkansas still rankles) Creating turnovers. Scoring some points. Blocking some kicks. Helping the team. Special teams has been a sore subject for Gator Nation Napiers first two years and will be a focal point of fan interest. This is one of those areas that he will be critically evaluated for, coaching performance wise.
Already commented on this very thing, in the general posts forum. It was at that point of the interview I cut the interview off, as it was tyical Napier dancing around the question and not answering............The spring to me, practices, the game staurday and this interview, was all about keeping the Napier narrative intact heading into summer..........mission accomplished! The games in the fall will either expose the narrative as empty or allow Napier to pound his chest telling all that will listen " I told you......Trust the Process"
22.7 Million??? Wow. For what exactly? Mediocrity??? Wait, I know, he got an extra 10 Million for Georgia Tech!!! (I know, I know, that was 23 not 22), but hey - I hate the Canes and could not resist!
Mario is going to have a very difficult time "splaining" the butt kicking the Canes will get game 1 to his "investors". !!!!
My perception is reality... Lol, okay maybe not, but I'm over last year and the spring game. Clean slate but only if we don't digress. I don't like freshman playing on special teams unless that player is a future starter. I want ROCK stars on special teams.
